A nostalgic trip through Halo 2’s legacy of Multiplayer awesomeness.

With Halo 2’s Xbox LIVE matchmaking at an end, Waypoint wanted to take an opportunity to look at some of our favorite Multiplayer maps and experiences from the game.

Up next on our list is Headlong, the gritty industrial plot of land in Section 14 of New Mombasa. Halo 2 had an impressive list of large-scale Multiplayer maps, but for many, this one stood head and shoulders above the rest—both figuratively and literally.

Headlong’s coastal construction site motif provided a series of multi-tiered skyscrapers, gigantic open areas, and strategically exciting choke points. Even now, years later, it is still considered one of fans favorite places to play Halo.
