High Speed Halo presents Halo 3: ODST, Coastal Highway, Legendary, in 22:07 by RC Master.

High Speed Halo presents its 11th speed run. This week, we're tackling the final level of Halo 3: ODST—Coastal Highway. This run is a bit special; not only is it on Legendary difficulty, with no deaths and in just 22 minutes and 7 seconds, but it is also a Vidmaster Challenge: Classic achievement run. That means this run is completed without firing any shots from any weapon or vehicle, and without throwing any grenades—a feat most consider possible only on Uplift Reserve. Ever the purveyors of the unlikely, High Speed Halo shows you how this is possible.

Since the Scorpion tank on this level is rendered unusable, the bulk of this run turns into an epic warthog ride with Buck, bookended by two infantry sections. Overall, it is a mix of daring dashes, patient sections, meticulous planning, and a few opportunistic moments that ends up only 2 1/2 minutes longer than the Legendary record, despite all of the restrictions!

From the runner: "The start is way harder than it looks – most of my attempts ended there. Most of the highway sections aren't too bad, but you need to know exactly what you're doing at each section and execute it precisely and quickly. The section before the Gauss with the Ghosts and just before the Scorpion with the Wraith were the hardest because you have so few offensive options and so many enemies. The holdout isn't too bad with both Dare and Buck with FRGs, but you still need to pay attention and contribute so you don't die and things keep moving."
