What's Your Halo 2A Multiplayer Performance?

OP GUY FIER1

This thread is not to talk about optimization or feedback, but rather what FPS you have been getting in Halo 2A MP multiplayer. This is mainly for people to reference back in case they want to make upgrades before the launch of Halo 2 MCC PC. Please state your Specs and Resolution before stating your FPS. Please refrain from talking or complaining about this game's optimization.

My Specs: CPU - Intel 2600k GPU - GTX 1080ti - RAM - 16gb
Resolution: 3440 by 1440p - 21:9
FPS: Enhanced: 70-90 fps, Average: 75

Thanks
It runs no problem for me.

2700X, 16gb corsair vengeance rgb pro at 3200mhz, rtx 2080.
100+ for me it feels like, however my only complaint was the unbalanced teams. It seemed as though I was consistently put up against Halo youtube personalities and streamers with pro comp experience and it was not fun at all to lose by 50 points to another team. That and I have less exp on H2 multiplayer.
Ryzen 7 1700, 32GB at 2666mhz, RX580 8GB.

running at 1080p.

this was during 8v8
H2 is random in what framerate it decides to lock at. like its map dependent.

180 locked, 240-300fps. H2 CPU: 16% usage, GPU: 30% usage (with GPU based background recording happening at the same time.)
70 - 120fps. H2A CPU: 12-20% usage, GPU: 60-80% usage (with GPU based background recording happening at the same time.)
1080P also got 1440p but didnt test that yet.

CPU- I7 7700
Graphics card- GTX 1070TI
Ram-16gb

Game runs at 60 fps and it goes to 120fps and when I am in a building it goes to intervals of 60. It rarely goes to 120 during gameplay. Really hope the next patch can fix the frame rate issues.
I've noticed that the H2A campaign is somewhat inconsistent with framerates based on where you are looking on each level. I average about 110-120 FPS in the H2A campaign flight, but if i'm looking in certain directions, frames drop to what appears to a locked 60-61 FPS. I look a little bit over to the left or right of that area, and it shoots back up to 100+. It is weird to say the least.

  • Asus PG27UQ (display), 4K, 144hz, GSYNC, HDR
  • i7 5960X 4.2 Ghz OC
  • SLI 1080 Ti 2.0 Ghz OC
  • 32GB 2800 Mhz RAM
I haven't been having any issues with frame rate for the most part. There was a brief, but very noticeable, drop at the beginning of Delta Halo. It only lasted for a second and then I was having normal frame rates again. Multiplayer has worked perfectly for me.

  • Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.6GHz
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
  • 16 GB RAM

Yeah it's a known issue that the devs encountered. It's because this game uses double buffered v-sync, so it locks into intervals 30, 60, 120, 240 etc.
Using a Medion Erazer X7825
CPU - i7 4700MQ 2.4ghz
GPU - GTX 770M 3gb
Ram - 8gb

Running at 1080p with it set to 60fps, as this laptop is pretty old.
Get a locked 60fps in Original in all modes.
Enhanced dips between 45-55fps frequently but averages about 50fps in BTB, in 4v4 it averages about 55fp (Same happened for Reach in enhanced).
I get around 80 - 110 FPS but it's not very stable, it fluctuates a lot.
R5 3600x
RTX 2060
16GB DDR4 Ram
double-shot latte (to fuel the dweeb using it)

Also I remembered why I never really played Halo multiplayer (yes, grenade spam).

Edit: As for campaign, sometimes it locks to 60 FPS and sometimes it goes to 120FPS but it never seems to drop below those numbers, so I think I would easily get over 144 (I did in Halo CEA but that probably isn't a fair comparison).
Specs: Ryzen 3600, 16GB RAM, GTX 1080ti, NVME SSD

Resolution: 3440x1440 (ultrawide)

FPS H2A Enhanced: 90-120
FPS H2A Original: 150-220

FPS H2C Enhanced: pending
FPS H2C Original: 480 (cap)

Nice, with your Ryzen CPU, you get better FPS than I do. I'm stuck on 70s-90s FPS H2A Enhanced with a Intel 2600k. I also have 16GB RAM and 1080ti

You may want to upgrade that 2600K one of these days. A modern i5 or i7 would be great, as well as an R5 or R7. I'm in the process of changing my i7 out for a R9 3950X, 64GB RAM and an MSI X570 Godlike. The 5960X has served me well for the past 5 years, and i'm not really liking Intel's offerings as of late. So i'm giving AMD a go this time around.

Yea I plan on upgrading my mobo and cpu around this fall
My Specs: CPU - Intel Core i5-7300HQ GPU - GTX 1060 Max-Q - RAM - 16GB DDR4 2400
Resolution: 1920x1080@60Hz
FPS: Enhanced: 45-60, average 55 fps.

I get frequent FPS drops on the H2A multiplayer. Anniversary campaign and classic campaign and multiplayer framerate is perfectly stable.
This post was originally written in the Flight. Since then, the full game has released. I have been getting better performance for H2A Campaign, as they disabled double buffered vsync. H2A I'm getting slightly better performance as well. I average in the 90s with enhanced.
