No, I kinda like the REQ system. It keeps people playing.
I think you meant to type paying.
You don't have to pay if you don't want to, all it takes is a couple games of patience before you buy your next REQ pack with REQ points
RNG (aka Gambling) unlocks ain't fun mate. The credit system in Reach had the same effect you described, but was the better grind. The skill based system from H3 on the other hand united the community a lot more. No wonder most people are asking for a mix of the two!

I have not read the whole thread, so maybe some wishes have already been said. I would like, for the story mode, a sandbox system similar to what we saw in the last Metro, with very large maps, but not really free roaming. That there are secondary quests and that the game is not limited by being a simple fps. And I would like a story that can be enjoyed without having necessarily read all the literature in the world to understand characters and situations. For the multiplayer I expect more personalization for the Spartan with a system at Halo Reach and that it returns to be the blood as in Halo CE.And I would like at least for the campaign to have forgotten the 60 fps at all costs and the graphics were pumped, I want to be surprised and fascinated.

So in Halo 4, we had the AutoSentry as an armor ability. Though I don't expect it to make it in game, it would be cool if there was an armor ability to which the UNSC was able to repurpose Promethean Watchers and Crawlers.
With the Watchers, they would do the same as they do in game: grenade defense, shield regen, or maybe add in the ability to spot enemies that are using camo.
With the Crawlers, they could be used to serve as watchdogs protecting the Spartan, or better yet as attack dogs that a spartan can send against an enemy.
How about UNSC Drone versions of these, kinda like the art style of Mantis but smol.
Please don't post multiple time in a row. If you need to add more information or quote other users, you can edit your last post. Thanks

Yes, a campaign sandbox much like most of the Bungie-made Halo missions that had vehicles let you mess around and drive around before going to the next area! "blood like CE" where you can drop your framerate with blood xD . 343 already confirmed Reach customization which is teased in the Halo Outpost Discovery teaser banner, and don't forget they confirmed Splitscreen! Also 60fps max in the Campaign but let it drop to 30 if you're in a fight :P The game is running a new engine so I'm confident they've fixed their optimization priorities :o
Fire fight with 4 player split screen and respawnable friendly ai. Able to play as both human ans non human factions.
I would just like better armor but the team does well.
a banshee that can flip after a bomb launch

Exactly, macro sandbox-style explorable areas would be the thing I would prefer most, and besides I would not mind seeing a little more gore! The 60 fps at all costs do not like me, I would prefer to have the campaign set at 30 and the multi at 60, so as to shoot at most the graphic quality in single player.

The splitscreen is a disgrace that there is not in Halo 5, not a blessing the fact that there will be in Halo 6. XD
Although obviously it is welcome.
Probably been mentioned, but I would like custom button mapping for the controller.
* Offline bot support
* Slight improvements to the aiming controls. An acceleration curve and 'turn' acceleration slider
* Aim assist toggle
Just make it like H2-H3.
The huge interest in the latest H3 Tournaments should speak for itself.
Odst armor with the backpack.
A cool addition would be truth's (halo 2 version) and tartarus' voice in fire fight.
Maps.

Theres one thing that all the great Halos had in common, more than anything: Great launch maps. IMO, its the single most important aspect of Halo 6 and what has been severely lacking since Halo 3.

My #1 wish is for 15 top-quality maps at launch. Even gameplay can be adjusted and altered on a weekly basis, but a bad map will always be bad.

I was remixing Fathom as a metal foundry and its playtestsfelt funner than the original :o
Some maps just need more accessibility rather than skill jumps, like a new version of Blood Gulch or a cool new Arena map that doesn't feel like it was designed by a pro gamer!

Return of Gardian with a similar forest theme?
1. Playable Sangheili (Elites) in multiplayer in every gametype in both custom games and matchmaking like in Halo 3 without restriction (meaning, not Reach style). Canonically this would make sense now since they are working together against various common enemies (it already made sense in Halo 5). In some cases, according to various sources, Sangheili were invited to train with Spartan IV's in wargames. There is no reason not to add them at this point. I could literally care less if the hitbox is a bit bigger than a Spartan, I can deal with it. We already did in Halo 3. If restrictions are necessary for things like ranked, then simply enforce player models for those modes. Bungie achieved this in Reach, and only ranked players actually cared. Social matchmaking, unrestricted.

2. Campaign with multiple plots going (much like Halo 2 and 5 though probably too late for this wish if the Campaign is already ironed out). This could be easily done between Locke, Master Chief, and the Arbiter doing three or more different things

3. Racing like in Halo 3 matchmaking! I had a lot of fun with this.

4. Reach levels of armor customization for both Spartans AND Sangheili (updates these days make it a simple process to add more over time).

5. Covenant Shadow vehicle as a troop transport for forge (it's like a smaller version of the Elephant! https://www.halopedia.org/Type-29_Shadow). Elephant if it's not already planned as well. I have many ideas for these in forge mode!

6. Invasion

7. Flood Survival or Promethean Survival (much like horde mode in many other games).

8. If not flood survival, zombie survival much like Call of Duty Nazi Zombies. I think this would be a unique spin on Halo as a fun arcade gametype. Doesn't necessarily need to be in matchmaking but it can be.

9. Spartan Ops that allow both Sangheili and Spartan joint operations. Canonically this would even make sense, as they did this in various missions after the fall of the Covenant already.

10. Flamethrower

11. Ability to have no weapons as a selectable option for a game mode.

12. Large scale BTB (12 - 20 player teams).

13. Spawnable A.I. for forge (and ways to create reoccurring spawns).

Future Ideas:
The game is more than likely very ironed out by now in development, but I would love to see modding capabilities for client side appearances (much like Left 4 Dead 2 does) for custom games. Since it is coming to PC, I don't see why this wouldn't be a feature down the line. Matchmaking, obviously no modding of any kind and a check should exist that will forcefully remove mods if they are applied.
Another thing I'd like to see return in Halo infinite is little bit more fog in some areas.

Halo ce and H2 used fog to show mystery and scale. Though this was also probably to help with lack of graphics.

Consider halo ce when you first land on halo and you have to activate the bridge in the big room. Another example is high charity on halo 2.

To be fair quite vague, I found a cool site that resembles most of my wishlist, this is it: https://haloinfiniteexpectations.altervista.org/

Halo 3 was played a lot even without silly microtransactions that cut off game content from the players. NO REQ system , no microtransactions. I would prefer paid DLC as long as it doesn't split the fanbase.

Honestly think the Req cards are pretty good. At first I hated it,but then when I fully understood it, it's really not bad and it feels like it makes it fair for players. I just want Req cards to be for arena which I believe I saw an announcement on it, so makes it even better, but I think the biggest thing I wish for is custom slots for online play. You choose a primary weapon, a secondary, some special skills/powers/shields/ etc., choose types of grenades, and specials of your choice. You can get better, powerful weapons as you rank up cause to be honest....sometimes I get a little bored starting with the same weapon over and over again in any type of game in arena. War zone can stay the way it is, thats not a huge deal to me.
This would completely break the great balance Halo has always been known for. Getting better equipment as you level up would remove every bit of balance and only the players who play a lot would be able to do anything. I respect that you have your opinions on how the game should be, but this would be the worst thing 343 could ever do to Halo AGAIN

However, if 343 did this for a special few playlists and kept this out of ranked competitive play, then I guess I see no reason not to do it
They shouldn't make this at all, what is this CoD? If you want to play CoD play that, I play CoD when I want to play CoD, I don't play Halo when I want to play CoD... play CoD! XD
Playable elites
Human flying vehicle
Locusts from halo wars
Drivable shadows from halo 2
Elephants
More forge options
Good campaign
This is a very epic list :)

Or a night map on multiplayer that's *actually dark*.
