Special weapons

What would you all think of a mode where you and the enemies can you use the special weapons in Campaign
I guess I don't precisely know what you mean, but I personally think "special weapons" (if you're referring to variations on regular weapons and vehicles like we see in H5 Warzone) should only be present in Campaign and PvE modes, if at all, just to keep a better semblance of balance In MP.

God I hope they cut down on the amount of weapons variants in Infinite. Regular warzone is such a mess because of them.
I like the varients 343 know how to make cool weapons.
Me personally I don’t like the special weapons at all. Any of them. Yeah some of them are cool but that was never a Halo thing. Feels like a major Destiny knockoff thing. And I don’t mean like having different attachments on weapons and calling them “variants,” I just mean the overly dramatically, seemingly randomly generated named weapons like “The Hand of the Moon” or “Suncrasher” or “the Birds Eye” with some quippy bit of irrelevant background lore assigned to it. I think it’s gimmicky and cheap and sort of imitating other games and I wouldn’t really care to see it return in Halo.

I think this should just be a skull to activate where all weapons are now randomized between their variants
I could see where your going but I think it in a way to make it a great use is if like there was a skull to give a lot of special weapons or Easter egg elements for the Story if you unlock it
I think like a limited use power weapon, like a Hydra, or Pladma Castor, or even a grenade launcher would be a cool addition to the sandbox, in campaign for the most part. So you have your traditional 2 weapon loadout, a mix of some grenades, but in addition, you get a specialist type weapon with very limited ammo, just to add abit more punch to you encounters. I'm imagining a blend of Destiny super abilities (yes, its heresy, I know) and the specialist weapons of Division 2.

While not apart of the core multiplayer sandbox, it could be usefull in certain aspects of the story. It could also be usefull in a large scale warzone/big team battle. No req stations, just large scale warfare, with power weapons and vehicles spawn at regular intervals.
But having a specialized weapon on a cooldown timer, with kills counting towards not just the overall kill count for your team, but also shaving time off your countdown timer. Then after the time reaches zero, you can shoulder said weapon and rain hellfire upon your enemies.
I say keep em, but dump the crappy paint jobs.
Give me something official looking, I dont care if its harder to tell what someones holding
