I hope they keep Blue Team together for the campaign. I liked the dynamic it brought to the game as well as it's a good way to delve into more lore.
Warzone. I had a lot of fun playing the PVE versions of Warzone.
Deep deep dark lore in instillation 07
I really hope John gets a new AI construct. Obviously Cortana is not part of the equation anymore and I don't think Halo is the same without her. But having a new construct to interact with the master chief is still better than no construct at all.
The trailer showed animals, and like, I want to pet a dog man. You know. You see a space dog and pat it. That would be cool.
After some thinking:

Campaign:
- Introducing the Spirit of Fire and the Banished would be nice. Both because they're sort of cut off from everything going on so far. So they might have some interesting story takes on everything going on. Besides: Blue and Red team reunited (properly this time) would be nice. If Brutes do come back in the form of the Banished: please have them be 'rare' enemies like in Halo Reach and make them big, brutal enemies. Let them finally live up to their book and H5 cutscene legacy.
- The return to the classic art style is a given at this point, which I also hopes goes as far as reducing the giant green lights on Covie cruisers and such. Hopefully also bringing back more classic H2/3 styled ODSTs
- Return of weapons like the Needler Rifle, classic Plasma Rifle and most of the H5 sandbox would be nice. Also: bringing back the Falcon next to the Wasp would be nice just like the Troop Transport Warthog. Again: most of H5's vehicles are welcome.
- Like I said before: Bring back Marty for the soundtrack!

Multiplayer:
- The divide between casual and hardcore playlists. Works well in H5 and should be back. Also: give the community responsible for the awesome BTB maps we have now access to HInfinite Forge before the game is released, so we have a nice set of community maps right out the gate.
- Warzone. As it is now.
- Firefight. Both the ODST and Reach versions.
- Invasion. Preferably also with smaller scale objectives. I mean: how about mixing it up with SWAT and having 1 team defend a base against 1 team trying to get in (either being dropped in by a drop pod at the start, or having to fly in on a Falcon)
- Keep Sprint/ADS/Abilities as far as I'm concerned but have them turned off for hardcore playlists by default. Although I'm really not sure about Sprint anymore at this point. Playing without it just feels ancient and clunky.
I want the perfect BR. The H3 BR was atrocious, H5 BR got ruined after the weapon tuning update to the point you'd rather use the starting pistol. I want H6's BR to look cool, sound cool, and be good enough that you'd actually go out of your way to pick up, not used as a back up if your pistol runs out of ammo.
Seriously. I was a daily player. WAS... But after that update, I've move on to play ESO. That update completely ruined my love for H5. So bad that it actually pisses me off when I think about it! (seriously...)

I still don't understand the 343's logic on how a pistol can beat a rifle at mid-long range battle.

Yeah I pretty much dropped H5 after that update. Really sucks because I like what they did to the rest of the weapons... they just broke my favourite one :/
A great and ICONIC 10-12 mission campaign with a great story, that I can play as many times as I want and it's still awesome every time.
And one who's difficulty balancing is somewhere along the lines of Halo CE or Halo 2. Yes, I actually like the punishing mess of Halo 2 Legendary. Sue me.
And one where you only play as the Chief. Or Chief and Arby. But separately. And you don't have any "squad mates". You can have Marines or Elites that you can trade guns with. But I don't want an obligatory squad like in Halo 5.

I love Halo 5, but not because of the campaign. I completed it twice, once of Heroic when it came out and once of Legendary.
And I don't think I ever wanna play it again.

You know what I mean? It doesn't matter what time of day it is or what kind of mood I'm in, if you give me any mission from the first 3 Halo games on any difficulty I will have a good time. And occasionally even Halo 4. Only sometimes. But the first 3 games? I'm down to play those any time.
Hell, I played Cairo Station and Outskirts today 7 times. I played the entire Halo CE campaign last week, twice. And god knows how many times I completed those games so far. IT. NEVER. GETS. OLD.

The campaign is the cornerstone of a successful Halo game. And it always has been.

I sincerely hope 343 and Microsoft had some hard core analysts and game development specialists come in and figure out what made those 3 games infinitely re-playable. No put intended. They need to find out why and they need to do it again.

That's all I want.

Oh and multiplayer bots. Please :)

I'm very hopeful that we will see a customization system more akin to Reach in Infinite. The fact that Halo 5's customization system regressed in every way from Halo 3's (A game that came out nearly 10 years earlier) is pretty disappointing in my opinion. I'm hoping they also make the Spartan's look more like the classic games. It's kind of hard to describe but the Spartan models in 4 and 5 have a sort of glow to them that makes them look like plastic toys especially when using a bright primary color.
This. ^

And also that feature in Infection from Halo 4 where, if you become infected, you turn into an actual flood form.
I personally would love a good campaign and want to see the resolution between Chief and Cortana.
I want to see the classics like needlerifle regular plasma rifle brute plasma rifle(i know is in h5 but it got nerfed to much) straight out of og halo 2 h2a infected energy sword because it was the only red energy sword or maybe the h5 one with red instead of green but keep the og too sticky detanader DUEL WIELDING FOR CRYING OUT LOUD AND CO-OP LIKE H4 3 2 1 REACH ODST get rid of the nornfangs they take little to nothing skill to use i use end of the lines and they work great and whats the lock on for the spkr prime they go fast enough. Playable Elites with h2a graphics but like hreach Spartan customization for them and Spartans with all the armor from all games. And a good campaign that never gets old like halo 1 2 and 3.
I actually would like Infinite to have ADS, Sprint and, Clamber, Thrusters can be removed.
Also much more customization, akin to Halo Reach level, and the items should be gotten by credit system too, no Req Pack RNG bullsheit.
Playable elites, pretty please 343.
And most importantly flooood...
If something disappointed me of Reach was the lack of multiple factions to fight at the same time. And they gave me high hopes for futures missions too by presenting me a giant beast in the second mission! Therefore I hope Hi will use Halo's fauna in an interesting manner, even though it's not really needed. We got Covis, Promethean and most probably Flood to fight against already. Still, it would be a really nice touch!
For game modes: Invasion, infection, dominion, and firefight. As well, have all playlists at launch; I don't want to wait months for infection to come out, nor do I want some more niche game modes to be removed from matchmaking after a while so you have to time when you want to play them.

For forge: terrain editor, literally just Forge World from Reach (for the nostalgia), scriptable AI, possibly some heavy fixed weapons emplacements.

For gameplay: removal of all (or at least most) spartan abilities and ADS. Preferably remove sprint as well. Bringing back the golden triangle of Halo would probably help immensely. I've yet to see an argument against the old system (no sprint, etc.) other than "you move too slow," while I've seen a multitude of arguments against the new.

For customization: Reach-like armoury with a credit system to unlock armours. No chance mechanics to decide what you get. You want something, you work for it and buy it knowing full well what you're getting. Achievement locked armours would also be kind of cool, assuming it's just a few sets, and not the entire thing.

For story: the desperate feeling of being on the loosing side that was present in the original games and Reach. More emphasis on Covenant species as enemies, less on the Prometheans. I don't want to see the Banished and the Flood yet. The Banished in a story DLC could be cool, the Flood would crowd the already crowed roster of different factions at the moment. Adding them in a later game would be cool.

For campaign: space battle please (not just a couple fighters going against a corvette for a small section of the mission. Something grander).
I'm hoping for the Floods return and seeing lore about the Palace of Pain.
Flood Horde Survival Mode and the epic return of the flamethrower and CE shotgun in all its glory, range included.
That would be cool if they added objectives or Easter eggs to it like they have in Cod
Offline features such as playable forge in case internet cuts off, the dedicated servers are just eh and kick you out. Same thing with custom games just to explore and roam around.
I would like different environmental forge locations or adapted ones from Halo 5. Like volcano map, forest/jungle map, water map with possibly going underneath the water without getting insta killed. Enjoyed the desert type map, city esque map, cave map like waterworks etc.
BIG HOPES:
-The Flood.
-Playable Elites (playable across all modes like H2/H3, not like Reach).
-Reach-style customization.
-Classic mobility mechanics / Reduced Spartan Abilities
-Less focus on the "High Fantasy" Forerunner/Promethean subplot, more on the traditional "Military Sci-Fi" Covenant/Human conflict.

LITTLE REQUESTS:
-Basic HUD customization, even just color options (something like Blue Team and Osiris' unique co-op HUDs)
-Fix the bloated weapons sandbox (I.e., we don't need Human, Covenant, and Forerunner versions of every weapon archetype).
-More approachable Forge controls. (H5's Forge capabilities are insane, but the basic controls felt like a huge step backwards from previous games, in terms of approachability).

I think H3 absolutely nailed co-op, in that regard. If you play it solo, you're largely alone as Chief for a lot of the campaign, with Arby popping in and out. But in co-op, you also get N'tho and Usze in the background, with just enough "canonical" justification for their existence to make it work, but without them ever intruding on CHIEF'S story, as it should be. Regardless of how you play, the characters are both canonically justifiable and non-intrusive, so it's always focused on Chief, with everyone else in the background. That way, you still get a Chief-centered experience, but without the potentially immersion-breaking issue of having 4 "clone" Chiefs running around, haha.

If Infinite ends up bring ing back playable Elites, I kinda hope they do something similar for the campaign. Maybe have Chief and the Arbiter as persistent characters (like H3 did) with two other generic Spartans and/or Elites filling out the 3rd and 4th slots if you're playing co-op. Not sure how exactly the story would accomodate that, but I'd prefer it to both H5's forced squads and H4's clone Chief approach.
