[Locked] Does anyone know how to play halo games on PC?

OP SoleSquash53407

Does anyone know how to play Halo CEA or Halo 3 and up on PC. I've heard of Xenia emulator, but I don't have a controller or a console. I just have Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming. I've played Halo Combat Evolved and Halo 2. I've also played a bit of Spartan Strike and Assault. But as soon as finished Halo 2 I realized that I couldn't play any more Halo games on PC. Just to restate the question, how can I play Halo games on PC with keyboard and mouse?
By the way, apologies if anyone has posted anything similar to this post.
I'm new to Halo Waypoint so there's probably a lot I need explained. To start why are my posts tagged "OP"
Also how can I change my name? I doesn't look like I can but I've seen others with far less generic looking names.
But I would just like to restate that the first question is priority.
Welcome to Waypoint OP - 1 thing and then I'll answer your questions. Please don't post multiple times in a row, in future if you want to add additional information you can use the edit button and add to your previous post. I recommend taking a read through the forum rules, which you can find pinned at the top of every forum.

For your Questions:
OP generally stands for Original Poster, used to identify who started a topic. If you hover over the blue badge it will give you a little description. It also sometimes stands for "Original Post" referring to the 1st post in a topic

Names on Halo Waypoint are tied to your Xbox Live / Microsoft account. If you already have an Xbox gamertag, you can sign in here with that email address and password and it will pull in your correct gamertag and associated details. If this is your only account, you can learn how to change your gamertag here:

Currently Halo CE, Halo 2 Vista, Spartan Games, Halo Wars 2 and Halo 5 Forge are the only PC playable games right now, there are no known or released plans for Halo 3, CEA or any other Halo games to be playable on PC. To play CEA or Halo 3 you'll need an Xbox 360 or an Xbox One

Thanks for all the info but I couldn't find the rules :/

Is there anyway I can delete those posts and edit the first one to add to it?

I can see now why this is a problem because there's a daily limit of 5 posts

By the way I don't agree with your answer at all. (to be honest) You can definitely can play Xbox games on PC using emulators. But what's more difficult is using your mouse as well instead of just mapping keys to move the joysticks (at least I thinks so). But I've heard of universal control remapper. But I just need an xbox emulator with support for keyboard and MOUSE controls. I'm certain you can remap the whole xbox controller with keys but not so sure if I will be able to use my mouse.

Can more people please reply? If you can be of assistance.

No, unfortunately, the way the forums are designed you can't delete them. Just be mindful in future not to multi-post
Yeah I think your right (I checked the compatibility section that was blocked on my regular internet connection). Xenia supports a lot of Xbox 360 Products but not yet is anything Halo playable. To be honest I think they should focus on halo because it's Xbox exclusive.
If you would like to play halo 2 on pc. Here's the link, I recommend watching the video first.

You'll have to wait for either mouse controls on Xenia or an official release from 343. The Halo 3 on PC release from 343 is slated to come out a week after Half-Life 3 by the way. For real though, If you haven't seen Halo 3, Reach, ODST & 4 are sort of playable right now on Xenia if you've got Windows 10 (for DirectX 12) and yes, a controller. Vulkan & OpenGL aren't as up to date as one of the new lead devs only knows how to do DirectX 12 apparently so you can't do it on Windows 7/8 or Linux. (yet)
Please don't revive old topics, thanks
