The campaign was amazing and has a lot of replay value. Even more fun on COOP than on single player and doesn't impede the game play at all. Except on the last level my friend was kinda salty I got the Gunship (:

The campaign wasnt amazing. The campaign in its current form is way worse than Halo Wars 1 Campaign. Best example is the lazy mission design in Halo Wars 2. Why the -Yoink- do i have to play MP modes? I want a proper campaign if i want to play MP modes against bots i will play skirmish.

Whoever designed the Campaign missions never played Halo Wars 1.
We are welcome to share our opinions just as you are. If you dont like it fine but we can like it as much as we want thanks.

loved the campaign. Much better than HW1 aside from the small changes i would like to see.
Thanks Zombie, I just got done playing through both campaigns as well as all of the other halos as well and when I made that statement it was not a "rose tinted glasses" post in any way. I very much enjoyed the play style and the artwork of the game is beautiful. The only downside I found at all was the script of the actors which I found a bit cheesy but then again it's halo (an original BA game) and I think they hold the right to do that just as much as Arnold Schwarzenegger in Predator although I do wish to see halo go back to being M rated (pleasssssseeeee). I agree HW2 was much better than HW1 and anyone who disagrees is just a salt truck dumping their load on a good game that doesn't appeal to their desired expectations.

Don't know really where the oppropriate place to post bugs are but here are some serious ones.

In mission 11 "The Halo", after saving bravo base the base sometimes wouldn't be put under your control.
Throughout the campaign random units under your control will be stuck and no longer respond to commands.
In multiplayer when building a base, some buildings would stay queued forever and never complete.

Those are a few major ones I've noticed.
I only really had a problem with two missions sort of , the first time i fought the giant sent it took me a while to brute force my way to learn to counter. From the deep the locust appear in way to many as you get further, or are two strong, I suggest toning them down as in nerfing the a bit or make them appear in less per wave. Hold the line is an odd one for me, I would say up the wave timer by about 30 seconds more towards the end.
On normal i was having a hard to even try and keep the right barricade standing. I would say let us be able to repair them if you do not want to up the timer . also me personally I think the hell troopers should have another bar of hp in the campaign, other wise it was a sort of big leap in difficulty for normal if you played the original game .
I would say tone down the damage of the enemies in campaign just a bit, would help in the before mentioned missions .
Also note unrelated note I beat supreme commander 2 on normal. as I got further it did become harder . but I was able to keep up because I was learning

Also It seems like people are having trouble with the Decimus fights . .. I really didn't have much trouble against him per say, at least not to his glassing beam thing on normal .

I personally think the campaign was very forced. You HAD to play a certain way (like capturing points) and HAD to use the units that were not purposely locked. I also encountered the blitz pack glitch and mission reset bug. It really annoyed me that i had to finish the cartographer again as it was way too difficult with all the banished. Overall, the banished have ended up OP like the covenant in the original. Also the units cost too much population, i mean come a 3 population marine? MARINE? Why?

Well, this takes place after Halo 5 on the Ark so I don't think that rebels would really fit into the setting.

Forrunner bases would work
I would have wished much more cinematics driving the story and also a lot longer in their length. This is one of the things I am most disappointed about. Also the length of the single campaign missions are a bit short imo, even playing them on legendary.

There is no more cons to add, overall a great game I really enjoy. For further DLCs pls add more cinematics & longer missions!
Writing down my experience with bugs etc on campaign
-coop was unplayable because of bad performance, so I immediately canceled my coop run after the first mission
-also discovered in the first coop mission: an annoying sound in the background repeating itself through the whole cuts scene in the first mission, sounded like a sirene which is located in the area where the cutscene is about to begin
-only done legendary so far and it seems inconsistent in terms of difficulty from level to level. Survival or tower defense typed missions seem nice and challenging while other missions where first tryers. Just my thought, isn't necessarily a balance problem
-cleansing beam and the vortex thingy are way to melting army's even with a maximum of splitting my army

Adding a Banished Campaign and more playable units would be fun. Maybe make more special levels with unique objectives, and not just force us to play Blitz-like missions.

Then put in Sentinel Bases like Labyrinth in Halo Wars 1

That level where you escort kodiaks is near impossible on Legendary. Why would you give the AI the ability to use two sky-lasers and a brute chieftain vortex knockoff all at the same time? I lost multiple armies to that cheap laser, which seems to have no cooldown timer at all! I finally made it by spamming cyclopses, but still, this is broken. Plz fix.
I don't remember the name of the mission but it's the one with Douglas and it's like a tower defense up until this mission I thought the age was good not to difficult but challenging this mission was just a pain my bases e destroyed and I basically sat there scrambling to defend I'm not great at these games but I feel like normal mode dosnt need to be so difficult if your good at rts games then that should be heroic or legendary I play because it's fun and different from other halos I'm sure there are some some strategies for this mission but I don't like looking up the answers to games, maybe just a shorter wait time then 30 minutes or a little more resources from the beginning I do t want it to be easy just a little less frustrating I love 343 and although I don't agree on every change they make I support them and wish them the best
Don't know if this applies here and I know it's to late to fix but I felt the cutscenes were to far apart the first game was awesome when you got to see the story in a cinematic approach there were a few parts that I thought would have made a nice little scene probably just my personnel opinion but thought I'd get it out there

I thought it was so weird when on the ark for the first time, the forerunner architecture was the new design. It really disappointed me (that and Isabel. I thought she was an awful character and damaged every scene she was in). The fact that the architecture was different kind of threw away some lore elements to the game. Other than that, the game was great.

I'm only a couple of missions into the campaign but I must confess that I'm finding the button registration when selecting local units or all units a little mercurial meaning that any thought of subtle selection is lost in an attempt to just select everything and then send it forward.

Likewise, when I go into the radial wheel to chose a leader power or set up a base there always seems to be one button press too many, so that you think you've made the choice and seemingly it hasn't taken and you have to go back in, select it, then click on it, then make sure it's clicked etc.

It's okay during the campaign when the pace is a little slower (and at the moment not really important) but I imagine that in the frenzy of multiplayer that it's going to be hugely frustrating.
All my campaign progression is completely lost!

I played till like mission 8 or 9 on legendary and its all gone!
No saveloads and only "the signal" is playable.

HELP ASAP!
