Punished for being good in Warzone

Time and time again, I do not understand why it is that I cannot find any matches.

15 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, i mean at what point do you start to realize that your matchmaking punishes better players.

I mean can i get an answer to this?

This is turning into a snowball effect, where people I know get tired of waiting in lobbies, yet those friends I have
who aren't as skilled, are able to find a game.

So now people avoid warzone to avoid the 15 minute lobbies, which lowers the population even further.

Am i wrong in this assessment of how you match people against each other?
Do you solo queue? I have noticed having a group with varying skill levels really helps matchmaking wait times

The matching restrictions shouldn't be that strict in WZ so it could be a population issue if you're searching outside of peak hours.
Maybe there just aren’t enough players in the queue that are anywhere close to your skill level. Try switching your preferences to expanded.
that happens to me also, they need works in that, because that forces you to create smurfs accounts

i solo, i do 2's, 3's, 5's 10's 12's,

it makes no difference. i keep seeing people i have on my friends list play games and others like me stuck in lobby limbo.

I've tested this along with my gf's xbox.

she is a complete noob but is able to find a warzone game while i am waiting..

I play with Noops a lot and We normally have it to expanded. So it’s not really that
I would like some sort of confirmation from one of the mods in here (or whatever you call yourselves).

Right now as I'm recording how i was matching in warzone at the same time a full 12 man was matching,
and it didn't put me in a game.

Instead i'm waiting extended periods of time in the lobby.

I'll check this post out later since i would like a definitive answer and how it makes sense to kick me off being able to play warzone.

When i solo, i do my best to get the win, so i'm not sure how it's my fault when the enemy team is farming??

It's not just Warzone, I'm having trouble getting into Arena matches as well!

I made a post here with a 343i response asking for information on where you play, time of day, etc etc. I'm in the same boat as you Noops. I wait and wait and wait only to solo q a full team or get no game at all.
I guess it's safe to assume that some warzone players are not allowed to play all games.

SO how is this even remotely fair?

I was in a lobby of 12 when i saw three teams find games, finish games, and then match in another game.

SO this is very interesting not being allowed to play regular games and being forced to wait in lobby to ONLY match against same people.

Sounds like you haven't heard of MMR (matchmaking rating) which also influences your waiting times. The game is trying to matchmake you with other players of similar skill and success to create a balanced matchup, at least in terms of overall stats.

See people like you are the ones who I won't read past the first sentence if you didn't thoroughly read what i wrote and what i asked.

I'm max ranked and to suggest that I haven't heard of MMR is silly, nor is it what I'm asking.

CLEARLY if i am saying some of us get punished for being GOOD at the game, that means that I am indicating a system in place that keeps
bad players, oh maybe like yourself (I don't know how terrible you may or may not be, hypothetical), from matching against me.

The implication is in the title, it's just not said explicitly, lol.

Lastly please don't bother replying if you are not in a position to answer the question and confirm. thanks

I've noticed that too
You're asking a question you already know the answer to. Any video game with skill based matchmaking, your wait times increase the higher your skill is. This is purely common sense. You're not being punished lmao. This is normal for competitive games that have mmr type matchmaking. Look at siege, a game with an astronomically higher player count than halo 5 yet at the higher ranks (high plat, diamond+) you can easily have to wait 15 minutes sometimes for a match.

I guess I'll try to give an answer other than the obvious, halo 5 playerbase population is low. It's the reality, the game doesn't have a healthy playerbase like it used to.

Dude, your attitude and ego need some serious work. Don’t expect anyone (ESPECIALLY a mod or someone from 343) to help you or give you any answers if you’re just gonna be ugly like that towards people.

With that said, use your common sense. Matchmaking is in no way “out to get you.” That’s just silly. What reason could 343 possibly have to make them go out of their way to actively punish players for being good in Warzone? Seriously. That is a terrible business tactic, and businesses are in business to make money.

Seems like you already have all the answers you need. MMR will try to put you in matches with people of a similar skill set and req collection in an attempt to avoid blowout matches. There simply just aren’t enough players in the queue with a similar skill set and req collection to start a game. Long wait times are an inherent symptom of low population, in case you didn’t know.

Now please drop the ridiculous “matchmaking is out to get me” bs.
Look, I was merely explaining an aspect of H5 which might've brought on your matchup situation from last time, not deliberately trying to come off as a blatantly ignorant muppet with intent to waste your time.

For the record, as disrespectful as your reply was to me, I see no point in getting upset in return.
you van choose your prefrences to match making the more trained players and the expanded
