I'm creating this forum to ask for any accuracy tips anyone would like to give me. I've been playing Halo 5 for a while, and it seems that I have such a hard time hitting my opponents. Whenever I do my best to keep my reticle on a player, it feels like I can't maintain my accuracy at all. I know that everyone says that practice improves aim, but for me it feels like my accuracy hasn't improved after playing this game for so long, no matter how much I practice. I've tried turning my sensitivity down and playing a new sensitivity for a few weeks but that still doesn't do anything for me. On the other hand, it always seems that everyone I fight has better aim than I do. I lose 80% of my 1v1s (no exaggeration) and it always seems that no matter what weapon I have, I'll always end up losing. For example, if I have an SMG and my enemy has the magnum, he'll kill me even if we're both fighting at point blank range; conversely, I get destroyed when someone has an SMG and I have the magnum. I watch my gameplay constantly and I realize that I know how to position myself and move around the map, but my aim is just terrible. I don't go around challenging everyone who shoots me, but in the situations where I have to fight, I usually lose. I've played the game long enough to get used to the mechanics, and I've done what everyone said and stuck with a comfortable sensitivity, but it seems like not matter how hard I try, I cannot win a gunfight. I'm aware that I'm Onyx in FFA and I'm facing tough players, but I'm trying to work on my own aiming skills. I made a forum saying that I'm awful at the game, and I realize my mistake for complaining, but it bothers me because I have such poor accuracy and I shouldn't suck at aiming at high level gameplay. Again, I know when to challenge and when to run away, but it's just frustrating that I lose so much of the gun battles that I can't avoid. I know I can't always win, but I know that whatever I'm doing isn't working out since I do so poorly, usually getting a negative KD and placing 6th in most of my FFAs. And before anyone tells me that I'm trolling because I'm Onyx, I'm just asking for accuracy tips. Anyways, feel free to offer me any insight. I practice and practice my butt off, but so far in these 4 months I've had the game, I'm really seeing no improvement and I fear that I may have hit my skill ceiling. It's getting to the point where it feels pointless to attempt to improve if that's the case. I'd love to know how great players like Vetoed and Kampy has such amazing accuracy, but I diligently play this game for hours on end and can't hit the broad side of a barn, even after playing Octagon for who know how long. I have a really hard time knowing how much I have to use the left stick to aim versus the right stick.
I can suggest 2 things. Either practice (I know...) or watch some youtube videos on aiming. I remember back in the halo 3 days I'd look up strafing tutorials and all those good stuff. Different styles of aiming will work better or worse for different people.

If you can't aim from close range with an SMG then even Jesus cant help you

Yeah I've watched so many YouTube videos and tried to take some hints, but I still see no results.
Whats your sensitivity ?

Exactly. It's pitiful.
Whats your sensitivity ?
I play 4 sens, 2 acc, 5 inner, 0 outer
You should aim more towards the chest than the head right under the chin

If your aim is shaky at 4 you should lower it.
I've had the same problem with H5. Just can't put my finger on it.
You should aim more towards the chest than the head right under the chin
Even that doesn't help because I can't even keep the reticle on my enemy at all

I use sens 3 accel 5 dead zones 0. When I suggest it to my friends they tell me they do better, despite it being a new setting. Why don't you try it out for a bit?

Hey sure I'll try it. Knowing me it won't help much but I'll give it a go Thanks.

I have lowered it. I've gone as low as 1 sens and I tried it for like two weeks and I still couldn't hit anything

i play on 4 sense 3 accel. I have pretty good aim i think trying 3 sense 5 accel would throw me off.

Yeah looking at your stats, you obviously have an easier time than I do

you aim is fine if you got onyx in any playlist. maybe its not as good as you want it to be but Onyx players have pretty good strafes. Do you strafe at all? might keep you alive longer to pull of more shots.

My strafe is horrendous. I feel like the good players will still hit me even if I strafe well. THat's why I'm trying to improve my aim so that strafing doesn't throw me off as much. I think at this point, it's not my sensitivity, it's just my bad hand eye coordination.
your just gonna keep getting melted if you dont strafe especially against onyx

I know dude, but whenever I strafe, it's difficult to keep adjusting my shot. My reticle just goes nuts and I miss.
