People were saying Halo 4 was going to be a test game for Halo 5.
Now you're saying Halo 5 is going to be a test game for Halo 6. :/

Im sure there is a reason Hunt The Truth had basically nothing to do with Halo 5 in my opinion.
Intentionally misleading marketing and/or the game getting completely reworked halfway through development.
I don't hate Halo 5, but I definitely don't have a strong desire to play it unlike the previous Halo games. I'd rather stick with the MCC for now til firefight releases.

I honestly believe it isn't halos problem anymore. The gaming community itself has changed and everyone is cynical nowadays.

I wish the community could come together and not always be so pessimistic but I don't see that happening...

This. Everyone has their own vision of what they want Halo to be. Unless the game matches that vision entirely they complain. Problem is you can't tailor a game to match the individual expectations of hundreds of thousands of fans.

Well, looks like my two cents have already been posted here.

halo 5 had a pathetic story worse than halo 4, the multiplayer isnt as bad as halo 4 but still isnt classic halo

The gameplay isn't anything new to me. It's the same old tired generic stuff I've seen other games do better. The things Halo did best, it no longer does best. There are much better arena shooters like DOOM or CS:GO and people are realising that, hence the drop in sales. I'd rather play any title in the MCC over Halo 5 (except H4 MP).

The best MP 343i ever made was H2:A imo, that resembles something closer to what I want.

It's not that people hate it, it just can be a fruatrating game at times.
Otherwise the gameplay is solid, but the story could be better. I personally like it, but I much would rather had Didact then Cortana, and Jul rather then the warden.

"You can't satisfy everyone so don't even bother attempting to satisfy anyone."

The cynicism directly coincides with Halo's decline in quality and the dilution of its identity.

Let's also keep pretending that classic fans are unwilling to compromise with each other on anything, and that they put their own idealistic nitpicking over the far more important larger picture of making a Halo game (even an imperfect one), that actually feels and plays like a Halo game should.

I'm just gonna be that guy and say CSGO isn't an arena shooter.
I am severely dissapointed with Halo 5 because it doesn't feel like Halo anymore. It feels like Titanfall had a love child with CS:GO.

Ehhh load outs are based on performance game to game as opposed to rank up systems aka CoD or Battlefield. You're right though. Quasi-arena shooter at best. Point is there are better comp shooters out there now.

Why everyone thinks Halo 5 is bad...

Well for starters if you notice the story was Osiris heavy being that its an introduction of Osiris Team, more importantly Spartan IV's for a main role, without having a main Halo title without Chief.
Think of Halo 4/5 as filler games like Halo Reach/ODST being different perspectives on what is happening with the universe. Without those games lets be honest most people wouldnt know Buck's Team or even Noble team existed.

Why the story "sucked" was because it was trying another perception of the eyes of Fireteam Osiris instread of Blue team.
Im sure there is a reason Hunt The Truth had basically nothing to do with Halo 5 in my opinion.

I'm sorry but you can't justify Halo 5' story in any way. It didn't matter which perspective you played because the story itself was just a mess that shamelessly undid everything Halo 4 established. And how can the MAIN series be ''filler'' games? Is that an acceptable excuse to you?

So being that and the updates ending in June 343 im guessing is moving everyone off Halo 5 to work on the development of Halo 6. More or less Halo 4/5/MCC being test games to get a better finished product. Seeing mass hate for the decisions made in halo 4/5 trying to compromise with players from different parts of the community rather than just competitive, and humans to maybe sangheilis and what not and bring the old and new styles together for a continuation of the Halo rings with the filler games not putting a gigantic gap in the story from halo 3-6

So anyone who doesnt like Halo 4/5 maybe with the primary effort of Halo 6's release (hopefully not an unfinished game like before) everything might be right.
People always say the most recent Halo game is terrible. When Halo 2 came out, it was the worst. When Halo 3 came out, people said how bad it was. They always say how bad the current Halo is and say how great the previous Halo games were.
