My fellow Spartan comrades, I ask for your guidance.

Before I start, I wanna quickly say happy new year. 2020, not just a new year, but also a new decade, which is mad. Plus, Halo Infinite is coming out soon! Also, despite a month late, huge congrats to Halo MCC starting a successful launch on PC with Reach being on Steam. This is truly amazing for all of Halo.

Right, back to the topic.
As of right now, by the time as I am writing this, on the 5th of January 2020, I am currently level 145. I'm basically 7 levels short of reaching max rank. That doesn't sound too bad in context, but I am aware the amount of xp needed to grind. 50m xp needed for max rank. Level 145 is 7m xp roughly, if I remember correctly. 43m xp to go. Over time, I will update on what rank I am. I ask of you, the community, for giudance and a boost of morale, for I fear that I am losing confidence and morale on this grind. But, I am certain of doing good before Halo Infinite is released, so positivity is key here.
Some peeps are probs bored hearing this for the millionth time, but I just thought that since we're in 2020 now and with Halo Infinite coming out, I have a feeling that the grind would be more dedicated for those who are close to achieving 152.

I'm already familiar of the older threads of saying the same stuff, but I would like to know if there has been a update of sorts to these methods. WZ FF and Infection being the best game modes for grinding, I'm already aware of, but what other good game mode is useful for the grind? I'm good with most game modes, as long as I don't keep dying, lmao XD. But for real, I enjoy most game modes (apart from CTF and possibly Breakout), so I'm quite flexible.

This may sound rather silly, but I'd appreciate it if there would be a update to when double xp weekends are coming, for they will be really helpful for the grind. If you wish to help me with the grind or join me on certain game modes, than just search up my GT on Xbox One and send me a message. You assistance is highly appreciated, whether be advice given here on this forum or acrually joining me on Halo 5 multiplayer. My Spartan Company is Fireteam Scarecrow if you wish to join that as well, but I have little faith on that. Nonetheless, help is always appreciated.

Like most natural good peeps, I will be a bit busy with rea life topics, so there will be certain timespans where I will be away from my Xbox, so hopefully this thread will be a light of shining hope for those doing the grind in 2020.

So, with the knowledge of reading the old forums, watching guides on YouTube and just enjoying the grind in general, I feel confident with the grind in 2020. I hope this thread will spark up new positive energy in 2020. And I hope new info is brought to the table for everyone to share with.

Thank you.
:)

Edit 1:
Just remembered of more related questions:

In Warzone Firefight, are the survival bonuses you earn after surviving a round worth it? They just give you extra points on the leaderboard, but I'm not sure if they ACTUALLY help you earn much xp.

Do you recommend Warzone Turbo?

Does it matter if you win 1st place on Infection? I'm not that great on Infection. I don't mind Infection, as long as I'm not the 1st survivor to die or just the Alpha Zombie on my own.

Do featured game modes offer more xp?

Do you recommend Grifball?

Edit 2:
Good to see people recommend joining Spartan Companies and offering help to one another. I'm not sure bout joining other Spartan Companies, to be honest, but I still appreciate offerer help. I also don't mind being messaged on Xbox LIVE, just drop a message and I'll reply asap.

Also, incase you're wondering, I'm from Europe, so time zones and availibility to play with others might be a bit off. I can be a bit flexible with time, but some real life topics might affect that flexibility. So, best message me at earliest opportunity.
If you're doing this for the 'reward' mentioned, don't get too excited. I've seen a few too many people going into the grind 'hyped about some epic reward' that 343's already stated to be a simple token and not an amazing exclusive.

Regardless, best of luck to ye and don't get overwhelmed! As for advice, if you've heard it all before then I got nothing to add xD
I've mostly been doing Arena Social for my EXP with a bit of Firefight on the side. With the boosts, Arena games end up giving almost as much if not more so than some Firefight games since they're over quicker. Doing both means I get worn down less quickly.

Yeah, part of the reason is for the small reward on Halo Infinite. I don't mind bout the reward not being great, so it's ok. I've gotten back into Halo 5 after a break and other Halo related reasons.

No worries if ya don't have anything new to the table. Super Fiesta and Infection are good for the xp so far. If Grifball returns, then it's a fun party coz I enjoy Grifball a good bit.

As for Warzone, I've mainly done Heroic Firefight coz it's the jack of all trades really. Is the survival bonus when you survive a round worth the extra points on the leaderboard?
Also, what about Turbo for Warzone, though? Is it worth grinding on?
That reminds me of some related questions:

Someone else would have to answer the placing part, but personally the way I sort "do you recommend X playlist?" questions is by:
1) Do YOU find the game mode fun? (Personally, I hate Snipers, SWAT, and Infection a great deal so I don't play them. Others love them.)
2) Length of the game. Sure, Firefight can net a won game 15,000 EXP give or take with a boost after a 20 minute game. You can get just as much in less time with a few games of Husky Raid or whatever. Firefight leans on being less frustrating though, at the cost of sometimes being kinda boring.

Pretty sure Featured playlists usually offer extra EXP (or they did?) but right now everything's Double EXP.

As a side-note, there's an "Edit" button so you can append extra questions to your post, instead of making several in a row :)

I once got Diamond 2 in SWAT, so I'd say I'd be good on that. Some other modes I musy try out to see if it'll work with me. Husky Raid I might try out. Hopefully I won't get CTF. I also added the extra questions to the main post.
I would recommend that you join an active spartan company. The team will definitely help you in your grind and make the climb less monotonous. There is almost always someone to play with, especially in the evenings. Legendary Achilles 9 is still grinding towards the helmet so is always looking for new blood. We’re VERY active.

(I already have Achilles I’m just helping them grind)

Interesting. Not sure if I'll join that company right away, but if they are willing to help, that's good to know.

I’m currently at 149 and looking for an active spartan company to help grind to 152. Could I join y’all? I’m on almost every day
Good luck on the grind to 152. My only advice is use bing rewards to get Microsoft gift cards and then convert those to legendary boosts.

You mean those Microsoft Rewards points? I don't use them much, so Imma have to read up bout them, but thanks for the info.
Don't bother with the Microsoft rewards, I mean it great and all, but the time can be spent playing halo. But if you already have points, by all means use them to exp packs.

My advice is warzone turbo with experienced players or warzone pros. Because if you get a good wz turbo team you can rush the core and win in 3-5 min, no joke it's called quick coreing. Other than that speed run legendary firefight because legendary gives a bit more exp and so dose speed runs. Now if you use legendary Gambit ai boosts during double exp days, and speed run either turbo or legendary ff, you can get the most exp possible in the game. Orrrr you can play infection during double exp, which is also very good exp.
When using XP boosts the value is fixed based on the rarity, so always use them when playing games that end quickly. This is more applicable to somebody with an almost endless supply of boosts and RP.

It takes 5 minutes to set a bookmarked folder of random searches and open it each day and rack up 150 points every day in seconds.

Of course! Apply here. Like every other company we use discord (essentially an app for hosting different forums) so make sure you download it if you haven't already.

This is bad advice. You can literally do all of the requirements in between matches. It takes minutes a day and if you do everything then you can get a free Legendary XP pack every twelve days or so. It has DRASTICALLY shortened my grind.

Ok, well i stand corected. Congratulations on finding an exploit that ruins their system. But hey, that your Business and not mine, and it’s Microsoft fault for not realizing that people could do that.

Microsoft generates the search results they want. If they want to shut it down, I'm happy to switch methods. I've also switched my default search engine to Bing and use Edge on PC and my phone. While I always get the maximum points from the method outlined above, I still use the system a lot. I think everyone came out with a win here.

The only one who dosnt win is miscrosoft, they want to know what your doing so they can make money, and in return they give you a bit of their money. But if you use the same searches just for the bonus money, you dont give then any new infromation that they can use to make money. I mean, i supose it dose work, they could be like wow this guy really likes gears so lets try and sell him more gears products. Or maybe Microsoft uses the data to brag to other search engine companies, like we have more users than you haha. Ya know the more i talk about this the more irrelevant it kind of seems..... especially when they give you points just for using apps on your phone ..... i think your leaning more towards ethically correct right now 🤣

your right, and while we can Discuss the finer points of Microsoft rewards, this is getting really off-topic and the mods don’t like that

One question after reading the rules, when not able to focus on arena (like when I have my kid) I grind WZFF, will I really get booted for playing for more than 60 mins a week?
