I do not like the new style of firefight at all. Having a timer instead of lives makes the player just feel rushed as opposed to feeling tactical and trying to survive as long as possible. I am able to just run around and not care about trying to survive because there are no consequences.
Using req cards is pointless because it does not feel satisfying killing any ai characters with a banshee or rocket launcher when a battle rifle or pistol will generally suffice. You should still earn in-game spendable req points but instead of using them on your own cards, use them to activate specific traps, vehicles or weapon spawns on the map.
Finally, I can't just play with friends. I honestly want a game type that I can just get a few friends together and chill in this game type for a couple of hours, not competing against 7 other random people I don't know or care about.
I love Halo 5 and enjoy playing warzone, arena and the campaign but I feel the original style of firefight would have been a great addition to this game rather then this version of the game which has taken away most of the fun aspects.
