Want me to program you a macro that will auto PM the OP to tell them their thread has been moved and to find it, check their post history?
Umm. I'm kinda web dumb so I have no idea how this stuff works. You might be better off talking to DavidJCobb about this. That seems like it's more up his alley.
I could probably hack something together for this, but I've never been comfortable with the idea of automating PMs just because once they're sent, they're sent. If something goes wrong, people could receive a garbled message... or a whole bunch of them... and we wouldn't be able to do a thing about it.

Like, if it's a tool we really want, then I'll rig something together, test the absolute hell out of it, and then give it to the team. It's just not something I'm inclined to do on a whim.
Snickerdoodle is pretty dope. Thats a cool name.. MONITOR. Thanks for the announcement and acronyms!
Do not create/use alternate accounts to bypass forum bans.

Edit: Forget that.

Oh, so mine on matchmaking quitters magically disappeared, did it?
Did you miss this part? At the very start of the OP?

I just posted - where did my thread go??

If you post a thread and you suddenly can't find it anywhere, please check your post history before re-making the thread.
If you were to actually check your post history, you'd see that your thread was moved. Just like I said.

Your thread did NOT get deleted. It got moved to Matchmaking feedback and discussions.

Noticed that straight after. Sorry!

I was told you'd be able to commission me a Forum Avatar of Exuberant Witness.

Sure, why not? I could make one. I can't take every request, but 031 is adorable, so PM me and I'll see if I can find the time to make you an image. :)

Bear in mind that I don't actually have the power to make custom images usable here on Waypoint. (I made my own avatar, but getting to use it was a privilege from a very long time ago. If I change it, I'm pretty sure it's gone forever.) This would be something for you to use off-site, unless the higher-ups have the time and inclination to add it to the avatar options for everyone.

If you message me, think about the base image. Way I see it, you got three options:

I could try to get a screenshot of her, but given the lack of Campaign Theater, this is a very "no guarantees" thing. A cutscene may work, if I can find one with her in it. Not too hard to chop out the background if I find a good image.

IIRC her dialogue over comm is accompanied by a small unit portrait. I could try grabbing that and editing it.

Easiest way is just to edit a picture of any old Monitor to use her eye color. Easy to set up screenshots in Forge for that purpose.
For the record Cobb, I didn't tell him that. :P
I want video games without lag like halo 5. BTW halo 5 is the BEST game ever
ok
Great thread favorite cookie name!

This forum is drowning in the same threads and arguments over and over again. You can read through a 30 page thread, and rarely see any new arguments after the first page. It's just a mess. How 343 create a sticky thread on this forum that acknowledges issues and whether you are working on it (pro tip: add small explaination to why it is difficult to fix or change something. This goes a long way, as many don't have the knowledge to know whether an issue is a quick fix/switch of a botton!). My impression is that many here are frustrated and feel that they are not being listened to - which is highlighted by the fact that small fixes like selling more than one req cards at a time is still an issue. Yes, some of the complains are subjective issues - often derived from being stuck in the past, not wanting anything to change or not knowing how to use a gun - and shouldn't be changed unless a vast majority of the gamers agree. On the other hand, a overwhelming amount of gamers here and on Reddit have voted and supported a Warzone PVE mode. Why haven't we heard anything about it? Most people wouldn't mind a more basic maps as long as they would get a new game mode. Balancing should be done after feedback or even beta testing.

Why can't 343 open polls for certain changes (i.e. not only weekend playlists) - and being able to vote from your xbox (i.e. when logged into your xbox live account - not like the system is today) so the whole community, not only the hardcore fans logged into Halo waypoint can express their views. Obviously, if there is a split community, changes shouldn't be made, but there should be made changes if the vast majoriy feels that way.

People on this forum are passionate about the game, and want it to be as good as possible. Everyone will never agree on what is best, but you can atleast try to please as many as possible. As of now, many are pulling away from this toxic community, and also leaving the game as a result of the chaos. If people feel that they can impact how the game is changed, many will come back. Not only will they come back, but they will also be more involved than ever before, as they can actually make a change if they present a good argument that is picked up by 343. What I'm saying is: Include the community. They want to help, and they will help getting the game much better. A good feedback system allows (e.g. polls, acknowleding arguments and weighting them for every vote they get) for every tester to be heard and give more than enough information to make a justified decision. Come on 343, if you utilize the power of the people, the game will be much more sucessful! It's not too late!
Even moderately basic coding rarely has a quick fix...I'm a PM in IT and the developers on my team do small fixes to applications (so small that none of them have any outward visibility) and it takes them multiple weeks to do those fixes.

I can't imagine how long game code fixes take, especially since most issues are not "it's too dark on this map" or "the contrast sucks." Assume pretty much every fix will take awhile, and that's just for the time they spend on it. Take into account how long it sits here and complained about before it actually comes to 343's attention, and you're looking at a longgggg time my friend.
Haven't played Halo for a very long time so I played the game on easy mode. Now I can't figure out how to make the game start again from the beginning. Any suggestions are appreciated!
Thanks for the information.

go to mission selection select the first mission
or change one (or more) of the settings (skulls/scoring)
Okay
Might I make a suggestion?

There ought to be communication as to where and why a thread gets moved. All too often I refresh a thread only to get a "nothing here, cap'n" message and have to scroll through a ton of forums just to find the topic I wanted to get back to later. That's incredibly irritating.
Trust me, I know. I've asked why the URL breaks when threads get moved but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'll ask again though. :)
For anyone curious, the URL to a post breaks when moved to a new forum because each forum has it's own unique identifier in the URL. So when a topic is moved, it's old identifier is removed and the post obtains a new identifier from the forum it was moved to.
Oh cool my thread about Halo 5 got moved to a forum no one uses. Thanks for wasting my time.
