two days now its freezing my xbox and rebooting it

OP Rico Da freako

So it loads up, starts and I can join any match, but maybe a minute or so in to the match the game freezes makes a horrendous sound and moments later it finally reboots my whole console and never works.. I have tried removing and reinstalling (which took a whole day) and various other things.. Any ideas?
Have you contacted 343 or Microsoft? Also are you a part of the preview program? I have never run into an issue of the xbox one restarting completely because of a game outside of the preview program.

I don't think it's a PP issue... It's their disc or Xbox
its a downloaded copy, all of my other games run fine, nba 2k16, fifa, destiny, etc. I havent contacted 343 or microsoft yet cause i dont think theyd be able to help with anything and no im not part of any preview program
and still, this issue persists. 5 days later
I have this same issue. I'm running the digital version of Halo 5 and I cannot for the love get into a game (matchmaking or campain) without my entire xbox freezing and then rebooting. Has anyone found a fix for this yet?
This is happening to me to! I can't play through a game without my xbox crashing. What is happening/how do I fix it???
I am having the same issue. New Xbox One console (Halo V: Guardians edition) with a downloaded copy of the game. I've deleted and re-downloaded the game 3 times but still have the problem. No other issues to speak of. The lock up and sound followed by reboot is making me wish I'd not even bought the console. It's the first Xbox system I've owned.

Did you install the game on the internal drive or an external drive? I have had issues with digital games not running well if they are installed on an external drive.
Try a hard reset including un plugging the power cord for about a minute. Sounds like a cache issue.
My system has an internal drive only. I did try the hard reset, unplugged the cord for a few minutes. Crash free for about an hours play.
I was able to complete the solo campaign without any further freeze issues. Thanks for the suggestion Dangerboy4020.
This is a glitch with the Xbox, not the game. This happens on some devices where a specific game will not load or work properly. Don't ask me how to fix it. You'll want to get to Microsoft.
