Well, a few big reasons (not to say these are better reasons than your wanting more H2A maps, because ... that would be fantastic. This is just me attempting to answer your question):VAN1LLA G0R1LLA wrote:But imma have to be that guy cause I really dont know why reach.
1. it was the most requested feature to be added to the MCC.
2. We will now have all the Halo games running at current gen standards (1080p/4k@60fps). I have been saying that it seemed kinda silly and a missed opportunity for Microsoft to be touting this Xbox One X around as the only console to play games in native 4K and not even have their own flagship franchise take advantage of the thing. "Play Every Halo Game in Native 4K on the Xbox One X!" is a pretty decent selling point.
3. I'm not entirely sure how long the 360 servers are going to be kept alive ... which ... well ... makes all that work bring those backwards compatible games to Xbox One and the Scarlet seem a little dumb if they're just going to kill them.
4. Certain Affinity developed the multiplayer for Halo 2 Anniversary. (In case you didn't know, Certain Affinity was founded by the creator of the original Halo 2 multiplayer and they've worked on the multiplayer for Halo 2, 3, Reach, 4, and Halo 2 Anniversary and haven't done any Halo since. They've worked on Call of Duty, Doom, and are currently developing their own game. I'm sure 343 themselves could whip up some maps, though I imagine that would require quite a bit more work than porting an existing game ... I mean, I assume all the people who are responsible for creating assets and environments are working on Infinite.)
