I've found a few bugs while playing Halo CE and Halo 2.

Halo CE: The shotgun does not work once you get right up close to the enemy. For example I got corned by the Flood and the shotgun was basically touching them and wasn't able to kill them.

The rocket launcher feels like its hesitating or has to long of a wait after I fire my first shot. Maybe it's just me but when playing Halo 2 I can fire off two rockets back to back pretty much. It may just be an original game mechanic of Halo CE.

Halo 2 Classic Graphics: On the mission "The Oracle" the flood water forms that are inside the holding tank in the first room sometimes float out of the tank. To notice this you have to jump up and look above the tank.

During the 4th mission while driving the warthog through the tunnels it would slow down randomly and not go any faster. This occurred during the part in the tunnels when you encounter the Covenant convoy. My warthog was damaged severely but I doubt that had anything to do with it.

I've also noticed that during mission 6 that when I was sneaking to kill some sleeping heretic grunts that once I hit them they didn't die instantly but instead woke up and so did their friends.

Another thing I noticed was that on the mission "Outskirts" that the hunters that bust through the gate at the beginning of the mission would act very strangely after being hit with a grenade. They do a very brief pause then go back to normal.
When watching a terminal in H2A the Halo Channrl tries to return you to retail MCC instead of Insider. Presume this won't be an issue when this is rolled out to retail but just an FYI to save progress before you watch terminals
During the mission "Quarantine Zone" on Halo 2 I encountered a bug while riding on the tram to the library. There seems to be an issue with targeting the enemy. I've only encountered this while fighting the flood. The auto aim feature will sometimes go crazy and I'm unable to focus onto the enemy. This causes me to miss my shots several times and is quite nauseating since my screen is going crazy.

Another thing I've noticed while playing as the Arbiter is that when I throw a plasma grenade my Covenant buddies will say "demon flare" as if the Master Cheif had thrown a plasma grenade at them. This has occurred on several missions with the Arbiter.

The in-game remastered version of Cortana that appears during the mission "The Gravemind" is very bloated like. I know this is not a bug but its something I feel that should be corrected to look more like her Halo 2 classic version while in-game.

Plasma grenades seem to go right through the lower half of enemies. This has mostly happened with brutes.
For some reason the Random music from other titles will play when you enter the missions Tab of any title instead of the proper music for the title.I’m loving the New UI for the main menu, but how small all the screens and titles are makes me uncomfortable I feel like I almost have to squint now until I get to the missions tab, I feel like there’s a lot of wasted space. Small but I’d love to see it scaled up. Load times are blazing fast now which is amazing!

H2A - The bandana skull still doesn’t give you infinite ammo with plasma weapons but it did in H1A idk if this is intentional or not.
Metroplis still doesn’t load properly on co-op 90% of the time and crashes one players game every time. Even on a new Xbox and I moved states. (Not for that reason ;))

I Cant test because there’s so few people but using the Leaderbords too fast used to crash the game or just randomly crash but it all seems faster anyways.

Everything else seems great! Plus PLEASE add every skull to the H2 LASO playlist so it’s doable since a bunch of people cheated for the achievement long ago anyways, or at least envy! 😂

Desyncing with co op players has always been a thing in halo2A on MCC and it’s most replicatable on the section of quarantine zone where the huge battle happens with the three wraiths towards the beginning, me and my friends actually have to speed run it to avoid it because it happens so fast, and that was also still present, making playing the rest of the mission together impossible.

MCC HALO GAME: Halo CE

ISSUE/FEEDBACK: In anniversary graphics the lighting becomes noticable darker after a set distance (relevant to the player position). Only visible on anniversary graphics and could be related to some kind of render distance. It looks somewhat like a slight shadow is being cast on level geometry after a certain distance.

REPRO STEPS: Didn't have enough time to check other missions but "Assault on the Controlroom" shows a darker lit area beyond a certain distance from the player model. This is visible in the outdoor portions of the mission. The difference is most noticable on snowy floors and walls. Examples of areas large enough to recreate the issue are the first area after obtaining the tank (just before entering the tunnel) and the cave exit (look at the walls) when exiting this tunnel system. I noticed it once I did the "glitch" to obtain the banshee before the tunnel. flying a little higher above the ground makes it easily visible.

ADDITIONAL INFO: It's just a minor issue, could be ignored for more important issues. Also sorry for not having a screenshot to show it off.

Yep I'm having same issues.
Quick thing that I found - played through the first mission and a half of Halo 3, and after saving/quitting, it backed me out to a menu for starting a Halo CEA campaign. I took a capture video of it too for evidence.
MCC HALO GAME: Halo 2 Anniversary

ISSUE/FEEDBACK: The steel canisters that are used as cover in the sniper alley section of Outskirts, have a "Caution" sticker on both sides of the canister, however one side of the canister, the label is backwards. It does this on ever canister on this mission, and I'm sure if these are used in any other mission they will be the same.

MCC HALO GAME: Halo 4

ISSUE/FEEDBACK: In the mission "Dawn", shortly after you are given the objective "Destroy the Covenant Cruiser", you will approach the window that shows you where the missle silo is located to takeout the cruiser, you make a right, go down a ramp and then another right down to the hallway, if you go underneath the stairwell, there is a wall that is entirely green.

REPRO STEPS: It happens everytime regardless the action done before reaching this point.

Audio compression is still an serious issue. Halo CEa,Halo 2c,Halo 4,and Halo 3 all these games need to fix. Such as the weapon sound, music and dialogue. They all sound very quiet compare to the original version, especially when I using my headphone the sound is really out of the og version badly. You can check out in this video. This both need to fix whether in campaign or multiplayer

Changing the Xbox audio output to Bitstream fixed this issue for me. Whether or not you can use this option will depend on your sound system setup. This sound problem is present for me in the retail MCC and MCC Insider if 5.1 surround is chosen.
MCC HALO GAME: Halo 4
ISSUE/FEEDBACK: There is no dialog when a video message on the left side of Chiefs visor comes up on all missions.
The last cutscene on the mission Reclaimer the Infinity deck looks smooth with no details and the characters look out of place. Not sure if this has been like this since the beginning but this time around it stands out. I've played Halo 4 several times now and I somehow just realised it but thought to let you know if it's new or a glitch.

Alright, I have a new batch of issues to report. This is all being played on an XBox One X set to 4K output with HDR enabled. Unlike my previous post, all the game data is now on the console's internal HDD instead of my external HDD.

There's an overarching issue I had across all 4 campaigns, but was most prevalent in Halo 2 Anniversary and 3: the vocal audio during cut-scenes plays a few milliseconds before the characters lips move on-screen. It's rather distracting.

OK, so on to game specific issues, specifically Halo 4. I came across three rather major issues. Firstly, there's the in-game character dialog cutting out issue that's been brought up several times on this forum. Secondly, there's an issue with the Level of Detail that's especially prevalent on vehicles. Low quality assets are loaded in much closer to the player than in the retail version. Lastly, the at the beginning of the Shutdown, when you get into the Pelican, Cortana's dialog didn't play and the button prompt never popped up to launch the ship; it was literally impossible to launch the ship or do anything other than open the pause menu. Restarting the level did fix this last Halo 4 issue.

The only other issue I had, which may be a legacy bug, was a grunt somehow clipping through a rock in Halo 3 and having a spaz attack.

  • ISSUE/FEEDBACK: In the level Pillar of Autumn, after we pass through the upper level of the cryobay room, the lighting starts to glitch. It comes a blueish light everywhere. It comes and disapears again after which area we have loaded in.
  • ADDITIONAL INFO: The glitch did not exist in the retail version. The glitch only happens in the anniversary version.

Game: Halo 3
Issue: Scripting issue. After clearing out the Pelican bay in Crow's Nest, the marines load up in the Pelican, however it never takes off. This issue was also present in the retail version of the MCC.
Due to working time, 2018 soccer world cup and me spending most of my free time with a drop of beer on a sunny terrace, i barely have time to play Halo. But I managed to play half H2A and some levels from H3 and H4 (SP and SpartanOps)

  • ADDITIONAL INFO: sometimes Elites seems to be "disconnected", like AFK behind a Wall or a crate.
Halo 3 and 4 work very well for what i have seen so far.

They all look gorgeous in UHD, its crazy !
