[Locked] MCC Playlist Updates for Xbox One - 2020

Good Morning Friends,

We are back at it again with another weekly playlist update! This week both the Winter Contingency and Valentines events have come to an end. If you met the criteria for each event to earn the nameplates, you should have them unlocked now! With the end of these events, some playlist changes have been made today. Details for what’s new are below:

Rotational Playlist Changes

• Shotty Sniper rotates in
• Winter Contingency rotates out

Shotty Snipers

• Selectable in Social Games for 4v4 and FFA
• Available in Halo: Reach, Halo 2, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4

Today we are welcoming back Grifball in this week’s playlist update. You can expect this rotational playlist to show up on the 2nd week of each month going forward. But hurry up, it will only be back for one week each month! Details for today’s changes are below:

Rotational Playlist Changes

• Grifball rotates in for Halo: Reach, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4
• Halo: Reach CE Anniversary rotates out

Social 4v4

• Added classic courts Errora and Impact Arena to Halo: Reach’s Grifball
• Close range weapon set has been added on CE Auto Slayer for Damnation and Prisoner
• Removed CE Auto Slayer from Rat Race

Welcome back for another weekly playlist update. With it, brings back a fan favorite, SWAT, as this week’s feature playlist. For the first time ever in matchmaking, Halo: Combat Evolved (H:CE) will also have SWAT available! On top of this madness, double medal XP and double match XP is in effect this week! Details for these changes are below:

Rotational Playlist Changes

• SWAT rotates in for all games in MCC as the featured category
• Fiesta rotates out and has been mixed back into Action Sack

Halo: CE SWAT

• Team SWAT game type available on Battle Creek, Damnation, Prisoner, Hang ‘Em High, Chill Out, Derelict, and Wizard
• FFA SWAT game type available on Battle Creek, Damnation, Prisoner, Hang ‘Em High, Chill Out, and Derelict

Global Double XP Event

• Double XP for medals
• Double the XP cap for medal categories
• Available in both social and ranked multiplayer Matchmaking

Get out there and do your part to earn lots of extra XP this week across all areas of multiplayer Matchmaking. But don’t forget, check out the all new H:CE version of SWAT in Social Games, available for a limited time. As always, thank you for playing and we will see you online!

Playlist changes:

• Grifball (available in Halo: Reach, H2A, H3, and H4) returns to the featured category
• Mayhem rotates out of featured but is available in 8v8 Action Sack for Halo: CE

As a reminder, double XP is still in effect until April 29th, so make the most of it while you can. We’ll be back with more next week but in the meantime, stay home and keep it clean.

Welcome back for another weekly playlist update! Halo: Reach’s CE Anniversary is coming back this week along with some changes to how matches are made in Competitive matchmaking for Halo: Reach. Full details for this week’s changes are below:

Rotational Playlist Changes

• Rotated Halo: Reach CE Anniversary into the featured slot for social 4v4.
• Rotated Shotty Snipers out.
• Rotated experimental AR start BTB out.

Reach Team Hardcore

• Partial team matching is enabled
• Reduced skill rank matching restrictions

Global Double XP Event

• Global Double XP is active

Double XP is still in effect until April 29th and with social distancing being paramount during this time, you can continue 3-shotting with that beautiful Magnum! As always, thank you for playing and we will see you online!

Welcome back Spartans, for another weekly playlist update! This week Yapyap THE DESTROYER is bringing his personal favorite playlists online and offering up nameplates for those who participate. Full details below:

Rotational Playlist Changes

• Rotated in the Yappening for Halo 2: Classic in social 4v4.

Yappening Game Variants

• Yappening Wargames, Brute Shoot, Methane Moshpit, and YapYap's Ball Grab.

Yappening Nameplates

• Earn the “Shut Your Yap” nameplate by defeating 150 Grunts with headshots throughout MCC while the Yappening is ongoing. Grunts can be killed in Campaign, Firefight, or Spartan Ops.
• Earn the “YapYap THE DESTROYER” nameplate by completing seven matches in the Yappening game category while it is ongoing.

Nameplates are granted manually and will be unlocked for players by the end of this event. Get in on these whacky game types and take out grunts to earn these unique nameplates. As always, thank you for playing and we will see you online!

Today we have a few big pieces of the news. The first, an update has been released for Halo: The Master Chief Collection (MCC) on PC and Xbox One. Below is a breakdown of the update size, new content, and bug fixes. We are also including a small social package for those who are continuing to celebrate Pride Month.

Updated Content
Welcome back Spartans! Today's playlist update bringing Fiesta online is accompanied by a game update. In celebration of Pride Month, we have added in two new nameplates for you to get your hands on. Full details below:
 
Nameplate Additions

• Two new Pride Month nameplates have been added which you can unlock by playing MCC between June 24th at 5pm PT and July 24th at 5pm PT

Gameplay Updates

• Fixed a body shot damage issue in SWAT for Halo CE
• Added additional Shotty Snipers game variants for Halo 2

Rotational Playlist Changes

• Rotated Fiesta in for social 4v4 and social FFA
• Rotated Race out

In preparation for Halo 3's launch on PC next week which includes a massive upgrade to the challenge system, all weekly challenges will be offline from today, 7/8 until the release of Halo 3 on 7/14. We are excited to bring the full experience of the new Challenge Hub online in less than a week!
