I think Infinity. It usually comes with one tough Spartan named Master Chief.
But even then, a Spartan can’t do anything in an orbital battle
I was thinking boarding party. If I remember correctly it seems to have worked out well for the Chief in the past. Just my thoughts on it.

Actually yea, that did happen
i chose infinity not only because it can be more maneuverable but all the Spartans on board could invade the cruiser and kill it from the inside
Ppl keep saying the supercarrier is larger but I cannot find any cannon proof. All I've come across is fan based stuff, read most of the novels. Played every halo that came out and still no supporting evidence on its actually size other than reach and that itself isn't even sufficient.
A CSO-class supercarrier such as the Long Night of Solace is nearly 29,000 meters long and 11,500 meters wide. Nothing official on the height but going by visual appearance, I'd say it's about 5,000 meters measured at its tallest point.
By comparison, an Infinity-class supercarrier is about 5,700 meters long, 800 meters wide, and 1,000 meters tall.

Stats for the CSO come from Halo: The Complete Visual Guide, while stats for the Infinity can be found on Waypoint's Universe article for the vessel.
I do own that boom but that's the problem its only that particular book but other than that its based on the game which is why I say bungie screwed up on this part. Not only is that halo reach game messing with the books but ppl are saying its cannon and that's stupid. Two different sources where one line went well with the games and other (halo reach) just screw -Yoinks!- over the the whole thing. Read most of the best and none mentioned the cso but the game came and just changed it all, that's just bad writing
If chiefs on infinity then it’s an W.
I think the question would be who shots who first. Both have really powerful weapons.
But I'll go with Infinity.
With all of the upgrades it's no question, Infinity would win
IF the CSO has active camoflage cloaking like Long Night of Solace and gets the drop on Infinity with a surprise shot from it's primary energy beam or maneuvers around to Infinity's rear before being detected or "announcing itself" and starting the battle then the CSO will probably win, however if they meet head on in a conventional battle.....let's just say that I think that Infinity's shields can probably take a couple of shots from that glassing beam before going down (assuming Infinity isn't being stupid and running without shields like they did when that Covenant space station surprised them and nearly gutted the ship with it's glassing cannon), but nothing short of Forerunner defenses can take a volley of 4x super mac shells from those CR-08B SMACs and not be either completely destroyed or at least crippled and dead in the water. I mean the CSO is presumably much, much more powerful than the CAS class assault carriers but 200+ gigatons of incoming KE all hitting one 500m x 500m section of the shield grid is just ridiculous, and against large bore KE rounds the CSO's huge size actually causes the energy transfer from the SMAC rounds to the shields and hull to be more efficient, since due to the immense size of these ships the curvature of the shields will be much less pronounced, so less energy will be lost to deflection (rounds impacting at oblique angles to the shield grid) since the KE rounds will hit most parts of that shielding at a virtually perfect 90 degree angle.
Gotta hand it to the Infinity, she can definitely handle her own.
Infinity would win. Its weapons are better and it has frigates to assist the infinity in battle.
Infinity
Those SMAC are pumping out gigatons worth of energy.
Supercarrier. It has 17 energy projectors, can carry around 100,000 troops, has thousands of plasma torpedoes and pulse lasers, and can carry frigates and destroyers of its own. It simply has better range. It can kite the Infinity like in TFOR when that supercarrier Dark Intent I think stayed at 100, 000 km from the ODPs and was able to dodge any fire. That suggests the Infinity could hurt it, but we don't have many feats for their shields.

That said, it's bloody huge, and can easily take out CAS assault carriers, so I would give the CSO the advantage at any distance beyond 100,000 km, and under that I would give the Infinity the advantage, except we don't much about the capacity of the Infinity shields and how fast it is compared to a CSO which are not slow.

Since we are talking SuperMACs the nanolaminate isn't gonna do much, while Covenant ships can survive Macs, and an unshielded hit won't be a kill if it doesn't hit a reactor, it would do massive damage especially if it gets fuel cells. I'd say 1 hit to a reactor and it's over, 2 hits to ship dead in water but struggling, and 4 hits and its dead.

Depends on MO, capture, boarding, do they have their escorts, what about fighters? The CSO has way more stuff in that department, but that makes it all the more vulnerable.

Edit - people forget that in TFOR the CSO cut many ships in half, the Infinity on the other hand has most of its weapons aimed ahead. That said the FTL radar should give it a chance to close in and tear the CSOs throat if it's ignored or made light of. The Infinity maybe a crazy ship, but a CSO 29km long, 10km wide and filled with Covenant tech and engineers. After the Covenant fell its not even being built anymore, that's how stupid expensive these things were. Imagine Noahs Ark being designed as a combat ship, and made of pure Titanium

This is a tough one, since the Infinity is an extremely advanced ship while the CSO-class carrier is massive. Personally, I think that the Infinity has the edge due to it being more maneuverable than the super carrier, and also having the CR-03 Series 8 MACs.

Though their actual energy output hasn't been revealed, I think we can safely assume that they are at least on par with the 'Super-MACs' found on the Orbital Defense Platforms, which can fire a 3,000 ton round at 4% the speed of light (which would have an impact force of around 51.6 gigatons of TNT).
It also carries its own fleet of ships with it.
It honestly depends on a couple of things:
  1. Is the Supercarrier cloaked?
  2. Are we talking pre-2553 era or after?
The Infinity is a modern ship, so it wouldn't be fair to pit it against an old Supercarrier model.
