add me ill help test! I plan on doing several non halo remakes as well(if we have enough we could start a new thread since I think this one is primarily aimed at halo ones :P) GT: AnonFriction

EDIT: I tried to test your map it appears you don't have respawns and your only spawn spawned me outside the map and I fell to my death
I don't know what happned but I think i found a bug, a really terrible one.
I open the forge, pick the map, and i'm stuck on it.
I cannot even edit it, I'm stuck in a screen with no controls of anything, I can't even move the cursor.

It's probably because you deleted all the initial respawn points and didn't place any you need to keep a respawn point and an initial spawn in your map, if you load into the stuck state and then invite a friend they should be able to spawn and place a respawn point for you then you can save and reload (I haven't had this issue but i've heard that works for fixing it )

I have an update on my "Backwash" remake!!! Here's a link to a collection of photos from this update:

he most obvious thing you will notice is that the middle building is almost complete, minues a few minor things I need to add and tweak ofcourse!
The middle building has three different section applied to it:

1) The obvious 4-way bottom floor with gravity lifts and a railgun
2) The 2-way second floor with an active camo .
3) Two advantage points accessed from a jump and ledge grab from the second floor, one of which has a sniper rifle to quickly pick off any incoming enemies trying to flank that side of the map. Also included is an opening between the advantage ledges and the second floor for a quick escape.

Each section provides an opportunity to use your Spartan abilities to their content.
I have also continued to expand the outside hills and trees to replicate the "Backwash" atmosphere as close as I possibly can as seen in the photos provided above.

Keep in mind however, that this is very likely to change... Just a temporary thing to test out the intro to my map! ^_^

Its going classic. I'm going to download MrMartini85's game type, you probably should too, or make my own and will eventually update things when the classic pistol comes out. Also, its almost done. :)
I got a Halo 3 game type now too to go with Sandtrap.
The mode is similar to CE's only with:
-Higher jump
-Lower gravity
-Weaker grenades (3 of each)
-Faster strafing
-BR/AR starts
-Increased motion tracker range
Sweet. I added you and will grab those for sure. But, one question. How did you make the BR suck like classic halo 3? Just kidding, don't mind me.

Also, Awaete: we tried to fix your map and the method I mentioned didn't work :l We could see spawn points on your map so I'm not sure why it doesn't work. Only other idea I have is that we maybe try to load a large party in and hope someone spawns :l I'm keeping your map bookmarked so I can bring it up at work and hopefully get a fix for you though :)

Now that maps are beginning to be finished up, I think we need to schedule our first test session.

Everyone pick a day within the next week that will work best for you to play on.
I'm working on a battle Creek remake
Thought I would give everyone a quick update.

Containment is finally coming along, will still be awhile till its finished because of school.

Also I thought I would bring up something some of you might find interesting.

I like many cant get used to the new forge settings and I happen to have a titan one.

So I made a custom control scheme for classic forge control settings and its amazing!

moved
(RB to A) to select objects
(LB to B) to deselect Object
(Left D pad to Y) to delete object
(Y to X) for forge object menu
(X to Left D pad) for forge menu options
(LB & RB) move up and down

you can make similar control settings in the xbox custom button mapping menu.

But for those of you who have a titan one let me know and ill send you the file for these settings.

I should be free pretty much all day eryday until the 4th

Now that Christmas has passed, only time I should be busy is New Years. Powerhouse is roughly 75% done, so it should be ready to test soon (provided the bug which causes rotated objects to shift by tenths of a degree/unit doesn't ultimately screw up the map). The buildings I pre-constructed are finally in their proper locations and I've started laying down terrain around them. Now that the map is finally coming together, it's actually starting to look like Powerhouse! To me, seeing that is just incredible because this was one of the maps I never imagined it would ever get recreated in Forge! More screenshots have been uploaded to my Xbox activity feed.
