Fireteam Raven looks fun and I agree that fun should take priority over continuity constraints, but it leaves me wondering how much of this game is present if at all during the events of CE. Hopefully grim can explain during a canon fodder.

I’m a little rusty with my Extenses Universe knowledge, but things like a Halo 3 scarab, ODSTs on the Pillar of Autumn, and flood pure forms all stand out as canon red flags. Either way I’m sure I’ll have fun playing the game, but I’m curious as to everyone else’s thoughts.
Read the novelization of the game, Halo: The Flood. There was a lot more going on during the events of CE than what the game showed. And yes, ODST's were on the Autumn.

ODSTs I figured could’ve been, but still other details stick out, like knowing Halo is a weapon prior to landing. Of course that particular shot could've taken place after Keyes is rescued, but it seems they are still in space.

EDIT: They are on the ring during that reveal, the editing made it seem like it was in space for a second.
I'm pretty sure this is canon OP I'd be surprised if it wasn't. It's pretty rare to have a Halo game that isn't canon.
im just glad they are going back to the old art style!
I've seen some screenshots, and one of them included a Pure Form from Halo 3. It's totally out of cannon considering that in CE and 2 the Flood were in the Feral stage, making it impossible to create units with their own biomass and relying purely on hosts, while in Halo 3, possibly due to High Charity, they were in the Coordinated Stage, now capable of doing such thing. But it looks so darn fun... shame to think I won't be able to play it. Why? Xbox's barely popular in my country (Portugal) so much less is Halo. =(
EDIT: Maybe completely "out-of-cannon" isn't an accurate term. The game will be cannon, but I think the Pure from is a sort of replacement for the Hunters once the Flood starts to consume everything.

It's canon. It's been made to tie in directly with other canon material, especially the novel The Flood. (events & characters)

It should be canon,as some trailers show scences that look like passages from the book.

Well. I think I understand why it's exclusive to Dave and Busters... maybe because it's EXCLUSIVE TO THE US. Like seriously, I checked Google Maps and according to it, there's Dave and Busters all over the US but there's literally NONE outside of it. Oh, I'm pissed. I'm SUPER FORGING PISSED.

I figured grim would do the canon fodder on it. Cool to know it’s canon.
Is this game even available in other countries (like Australia)? Kinda think this game is a strange choice but oh well. At least its something. As for Canon? No idea.

they could have had different types of scarabs, one for troop transport (halo 2) and one for assault (halo 3) and also ones for domination (halo wars series). ODST's are always throughout the games, we just didnt see them on CE, and pure forms could have been contained there, the installations were used to stave the flood and (unwisely) store the flood

In the first months, the game will be exclusive to Dave & Busters (Or US for that matter), but after those months, it will be made available world-wide. So yes, it may appear in Australia.
The game is cannon, inspired by Halo The Flood, in fact. Despite there being Pure Forms, they could have been stored there. After all, Halos were made not only to destroy life, but to contain and study the Flood. It makes sense.

Isn't Cold Storage located in Installation 04(or it was 5)? I mean is obvious that some Pure forms, like the Tanks were storage there.

I don't know, probably not.

Cold Storage, the Halo 3 map, was set on Installation 05, though there a presumably similar locations on the other Halo Installations.

No Halo was ever non-canon.

I thought you were talking about the video games, my bad. I don’t care what anyone says, Odd One Out is more canon to me than Halo 4 & 5.
