As much as I love this new pack to death, I really hope this isn't the last one cause I want 343 to do an HD touchup of SandTrap cause that was my most favorite map in Halo history cause of all the hilarious custom games I had on there. I know I'm not the only one that thinks that most of the Halo 3 maps were amazing, so here is one thing that I hope, that 343 decides to make a new map pack featuring 3 of the best Halo 3 maps Remade in the Halo 4 graphics. That would blow me away. Anybody else want that? Tell me what 3 of your most favorite maps you want from Halo 3 ( this also does mean maps from halo 3 map packs ) to be remade for Halo 4, I would love to hear it. Leave your 3 choices at the bottom of your comment if you want to.

My Choice: Sandtrap, Standoff, Foundry

Edit 7/12/2013: Holy crap! For a first post I was not expecting this many votes and comments to this topic XD And right now I have no idea of how to change the poll title without creating a new poll altogether. The change I was going to make was that instead of your 3 favorite halo 3 maps being remade in Halo 4, instead put it in for Halo 5 or if you want, Halo 4. It makes a little more sense for it to come to Halo 5 since the community for Halo 4 has dropped tremendously. But regardless, still vote for what 3 maps from Halo 3 you want in the next Halo and write your posts below. I love hearing what you guys think.

They could create more map packs, armor packs, or skin packs. They still have a plenty of time before Halo XB1 launches.

If they were to recreate more maps from Halo 3 I could not choose. I enjoyed most of them.

I think there would be a lot of fans willing to pay money to see some more Halo 3 maps remade for Halo 4. I would like to see at least Guardian or Avalanche remade before they move onto Halo 5.

NOOOOOO Halo 3 maps. Put the damn disc in or download it when it becomes available for free. If maps are going to be remade, they should be from Halo 2. Not only are Halo 2's maps superior, but they're virtually impossible to access anymore. As for Halo 2 Vista, it won't be lasting much longer.

Who thinks that the stances should have a more in-game effect... in other words say you chose assault stance and when you stance still in game or maybe press a button like an emote, your spartan performs his stance. Making a unique way that you could socialise in game.

Elites and Promethean Knights for Matchmaking, I know Promethean Knights probably wont make it... but maybe a forerunner biological unit could, in future games we may see one in campaign and so would allow the canon. The elites should be readded because one it was an awesome change from being a spartan and also that when making machinimas could do covenant vs UNSC battles...

About the canon and matchmaking unit models. The separatists elites (Arbiter Thel Vadam and Rtas Vadum factions) have an allaince with the UNSC and spartans. So could maybe even serve in the UNSC or something like that... The other question is forerunner biological units, it states in various articles ie. Greg Bears Forerunner Saga, Various terminals and other books, that forerunners may still be alive and living away from the galactic centre of the Milky Way Universe. In addition not all forerunners were turn to prometheans or hated humans... Maybe 343 Guilty Spark finds the actual Librarian or Bornsteller Makes Eternal Lasting (Iso-Didact) leading a faction of life workers and builders who decide to rebel against the Ur-Didacts madness and the precurser/ flood threat (if they return) Making a united UNSC (United Nation Space Command), LLC (Librarians Lifeworkers Caste) or BMELBC (Bornstellar Makes Eternal Lasting Builders Caste), AE (Arbiters Elites)...

Something to think about...

Lastly we need to see firefight make a return, yet also keep Spartan Ops. There should also be some changes in firefight. Like maybe taking a little form Gear of War 3 Horde mode, and add defences or more advance ordinace drops. I know ordinace drops came back in Halo 3 but imagine a pelican vehicle drop... Mantis dropping in or Warthog on route; or maybe a squad of AIS drop in "ODST squad head first into Hell!" And for the defences maybe automated turrets like dominion... or gates and doors with terminals like Halo 3 High Ground... Either that or allow people to forge in firefight matches...

In terms of Map Packs or DLC...

Maybe remade from Halo 3:

1. Sandtrap (Elephants FTW)
2. Last Resort

Halo: Reach/ Halo: CE/ Halo 2

1. Hemopharge/ Blood Gulch/ Coagulation
2. Forge World

Dlc

1. Work on adding elites back into halo matchmaking...
2. New vehicles or vehicles skins (Camo Warthog=BOSS)
3. More armour/ weapons/ stances etc.

No more remakes. Especially not Halo 3 ones. Halo 3's maps were designed around Halo 3's mechanics like an inaccurate spawn weapon and descoping. Halo 4 has neither of these, and adding a map that is literally a gigantic open desert will not fare well.

That would work too. Just up to them now when they want to start moving away from Halo 4 and focusing on Halo 5 really. Probably better to start focusing on Halo 5 sooner then later I guess.

The Covenant enemies in Halo 4 were very disappointing. It was fun to play Elites in Reach because they looked cool. In Halo 4 they look pretty dumb in my opinion.

Not going to happen in Halo 4. The best we can hope for is a return of Firefight in Halo 5. Spartan Ops was a bust, as much as anything because the enemies weren't well done in Halo 4. It's the same reason I haven't played through the campaign once since completing it on Legendary. It's just not that much fun.

I think this game is a lost cause. I suspect they thought they needed to change everything to make it clear Halo 4 was a 343i game and not a remake of a Bungie Halo game. Unfortunately, most of the changes were for the worse, and on top of that there are a variety of problems in the game that can't be fixed simply by tweaking parameters or hiring Certain Affinity to make some new maps.

Games are software, and software developers typically don't make major changes to code or features in a current release. They save those for the next major release both to make them a selling point for the next release and so they're tested as part of the overall testing program for the new game.

As much as I like The Pit and would love to see a remake of Guardian and Avalanche, to be perfectly honest it strikes me as a waste to redo these maps for a game so few people are playing, especially since so few people buy the DLC. Is Pitfall, the remake of The Pit going to be a great map no one gets to play because it's DLC? How sad would that be?

I can see what you mean there, A lot of people stopped playing Halo 4 and it disappointed me of how much of a quote on quote "failure" it was to most of the community. And I do agree that if this kind of map pack is possible, it should show up on Halo 5 which might be better, we don't know yet. The only reason I chose Halo 4 for this is that I'm not planning on getting an Xbox one just for Halo 5, I don't have that much money to burn and I know a lot of people are on the same page with that excuse. Although that's why I labeled this choice as a "possible" Map pack for halo 4, I wasn't saying that's what I wanted 100%. But still I understand what you are saying. Hopefully I can find some way to change the title of this post for what you said there. Thank you for your post.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I love Halo, but I'm not a big gamer in general and couldn't care less about having a Kinect or the non-game features of the Xbox One.

So given what I've seen from 343i so far, including their handling of Reach after they took it over, I can't imagine paying $560 to play Halo 5 unless it turns out to be totally amazing. It's just a game, for God's sakes, and there is no shortage of things I can do with that much money to have fun. If Halo 5 gets really good reviews I might pick up a used copy and a used Xbox One to play it at that point.

I'm sorry to say the adoption of Halo by 343i may well turn out to be the death of it. They really missed the boat with Halo 4, and since Halo 5 will require a $500 console to play it, it seems to me Halo 5 will be a hard sell for a lot of people.

I think 343i should give away the DLC. Not enough people buy it for it to add much value to Halo 4 as long as they sell it. The DLC playlists are tiny. As I write this at 7:40AM EST, there are 31 people in the Majestic playlist. Even Team Throwdown has four times as many people in it.

You can play the DLC in customs until your hearts content. I have no problem buying DLC for games I play a lot. It's chump change to me. So yea if they make more maps for Halo I'll buy them.

The X-Box One on the other hand I had to think about as its abit more costly but made the choice to buy one. I'm sure I will be happy to finally upgrade from the old 360. There is only so much it can do these days.

Halo Xbox One won't come out until 2014, and it will probably be late in 2014. By the time it comes out, for the most part, anyone who wants one and/or likes Halo will already have an Xbox One.

As much as a remake map pack would be nice I don't see 343i devoting any more resources to halo 4 after the Xbox one comes out.
