Helmet: Having in many ways effectively replaced older CQB and CQB designs, the DYNAST helmet shell is covered by layers of compressed carbon nanotubes and hyperdiamond sheets, making it fantastically durable . . . and expensive.
Is this a typo or am i dumb? I have a feeling its supposed to say CQB and CQC?

Close Quarters Battle and Cute Quintuplet Bunnies.
This is but one of Hannibal Weapon Systems' tank test beds fitted with the latest in vehicle-borne directed energy weapons. Advanced Scorpion with heavy armor and fast-discharge laser currently undergoing trials within UNSC Infinity War Games.

Oh that sounds glorious! It also makes sense that energy weapons of this type would be found on these kinds of vehicles. We've seen Spartan Lasers incorporated into the Sparrowhawk and Pelican, so why not ground vehicles as well? I'm still waiting for a UNSC Starship to come equipped with a ginormous Spartan Laser in place of the old school MAC.

Thanks as always for joining us, and we look to have you back next week, when we take a loo – wait, isn’t next week?… oh my. Well, at any rate, we’ll just say “see you then” and leave it at that.

Yeah April Fool's right? I'm wise to this.

"Introducing Halo 5: Spartan Ops. Take control of FIreteam Crimson as they battle the forces of the Created and search for ancient secrets buried deep beneath the scorched glasslands of Meridian. APRIL FOOLS!!!!!"
The description for the Dynast armor worries me. I sure hope this isn't intended as an actual replacement for CQB and CQC. Because thats not ok.
I'm just glad to get something related to CQB, I've missed it so much these last two halo games...

Wouldn't it be better to get...actual CQB though?

Not saying this new armor isn't nice, it is but it shouldn't be any form of replacement whatsoever.
Oh my!!! 150mm cannon on the scorpion? Wow! Now that's an improvement over the 90mm!

And these new variants!! Ooo! I do wish they were in production though so they could be used widely enough. I really like the idea of DEW and improved weapons. Once the REQs are in forge, it would be quite interesting to have them in some custom game involving mantises. But a tank with a laser ooo! I wonder how that ion field thing works on the mantis. I'm guessing it doesn't EMP from the lack of description?

A bit disappointed we don't have a fist of rukt yet. That would be awesome! I wonder what these new gravity hammers do. I hope we see some hammer with effects like halo wars. I do wonder, do all have such gravity manipulation effects? Or do most lack that and only have the iconic attack?

I hope we get to learn more about kinetic bolts, Knights blade, energy Beyoncé and so on one day.

And ooooo! A community play date with you??!!! Yesssssss pleeaaassseee!!!

I should also check that KI thing I missed. School got in the way.

and yes archive seems to be down. I also posted my drawing of meridian. A more scenic one, not as great as the epoch one, but it was inspired by the concept art. It has space elevator rings llittered across. Sadly my broken surface RT is malfunctioning again. So I don't think I'll be able to draw new stuff there [:(]

I wonder what kind of ammo it shoots now.

I think it looks fine. The helmet anyways, which is all I'll probably be using from it.

It looks basically like this.

Things to need to evolve. I mean in-universe it makes sense. I mean CQC was almost made redundant cause of CQB armor. So having an armor that does the best of both worlds really is a good idea. Plus saves money also as making the CQC and CQB must of cost lots

And if one carefully looked Grenadier(G) armor was replaced by GUNGNIR(G) armor. Not many noticed that.(both are still distinctly different its just an example though)

So it aint the first time armor was replaced for a more effective one in Halo.
I would love to see Tartarus' pack with a bunch of pimped out, OP Gravity Hammers just wrecking. Also, the UNSC Cartographer Initiative is a pretty cool explanation for Forge maps. Thanks for another great Canon Fodder Grim.

Not to mention the Mjolnir has always been about replacing outdated versions with new and improved variants. The Mark IV was replaced by the V, and the V by the VI, but they can all still be used in-game. Something canonically replacing something else doesn't mean the original can never appear again.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! That armor is a glorious, brawl ready, CQC orientated, face plated, punch taking work of art. Dynast, you will be mine.

The best thing is that before even reading that lovely armor description I got that CQB vibe just by looking at it. The cheek/jaw armor, the line running down the forehead, the visor being a morphed version of the CQB's, it's all there. Even the lines running along the surface of the visor are segmented in the same way that CQB was. I can't wait to see the other paint jobs for it.

It's great to be able to pop over here since the Archive's down.
Grim, as someone who has been a bit... Vocal on the large focus on the Sangheili at one point or another, I have to say thank you for exploring a bit more into the Jiralahane culture and their politics through Tartarus' Gravel. In fact, this actually expands upon Tartarus' character immensely, showing that, while Tartarus is a bit dense (considering he did activate Delta Halo), this Canon a Fodder does show Tartarus does possess some degree of cunning and politics. This Canon Fodder makes me respect and even admire Tartarus more as a character, given that, similarly to Thel 'Vadam, Tartarus seeks to unify his species, just as Thel 'Vadam seeks to do. However, in contrast to Thel, Tartarus chose to follow and obey the Prophet of Truth, leading him to become blind by his loyalty to the San'Shyuum (I found that he didn't activate the rings in regards to faith, but of obedience, just as Maccabeus noted before his death by the Hands of Tartarus), while Thel chooses to lead the Sangheili towards a new path.

Very interesting Canon Fodder Grim. Keep up the amazing work.
Thanks for explaining the existence of forged maps in War Games, Grim. That's exactly what I was going to ask...
