h5 armor style does not seem to have meshed well with Jorge's shoulder pads. Otherwise i really like how they turned out.

VIP within spartan branch is so Jun.

OMG! Five and a half years, we've been wondering what those missing pages from Halsey's Journal contained. Finally, we know! This has been the best Friday I've had in a long time. Thank you, Grim!
Any way to view those pages on mobile? I downloaded the file but I have a Windows Phone and I can't get an app needed to read it.

The store should have Adobe Reader (I have Windows Phone, as well). Otherwise, it's a no-go.
Alright, I'm gonna go ahead and throw out the theory that the Cortana in Halo 5 is NOT the one in Halo 4.

Exactly what i have been thinking lately these pages just amplify that theory.
Thanks. I can get that app, though it'll have to wait till next time I can access Wi-Fi. Data usage and all... Anyways hopefully it'll get posted on the Archive or maybe here soon.

Well I know to be suprised. Guess I was right to be excited. XD This was worth the wait.
Seriously though, that was some spooky -Yoink-. It's a damn shame that Bungie decided to tear out the pages instead of keeping them in.

Makes me think about what Bungie was laying down in the lore with Reach regarding AI and why? It's weird that they'd create these plot-points when they knew it'd be their final game. You'd think they'd try and circle back around instead of laying down new stepping stones.
Oh my! The final pages!!!

More likely is they didn't write them, 343 probably did.

That said, Bungie liked creating mysteries. They pretty much tossed around mysteries everywhere and only sometimes provided answers.
The Reach armor is neat, although I'm still not a fan of Jorge's armor. I'm a little disappointed that Carter's armor wasn't added to the game. Yes I know that Noble is supposed to be his armor, but it's only a base armor. The rest of the Noble armors are the customized variants used by Noble Team and Noble armor is not customized the way Carter had it.

This is interesting:

"Even in the aftermath of the collapse of the Covenant empire, newly manufactured Brute Plasma Rifles continue to appear in the hands of mercenaries and raiders, though their source is unknown."

Some unknown group is still manufacturing Brute Plasma Rifles in an undisclosed location. Is it a group of Brutes or maybe more Prophets still supplying the Brutes?

"Previously excised from assets recovered by ONI/SectionTHREE/ßfive personnel from SWORD base/SITEZERO prior to its destruction as part of Operation: WHITE GLOVE"

So Spartan-IIIs were responsible for securing Halsey's Journal. Now the question is: Who are they? I suppose it could have been Noble Team. Jun may have taken Halsey's Journal with him, when he escorted her to CASTLE base. However that wouldn't explain who handled SWORD base's demolition.

But we FINALLY have those missing pages! So this H-7 artificial intelligence is out there... somewhere. Kinda creepy and a little ominous.

Wasn't Bungie offered the chance to make Halo 4 though? I thought that's why they made concept art for what I can only assume is a pre-Promethean Knight. From what I remember, they had the opportunity to make Halo 4, but they chose to make Reach instead because they didn't think they should make the next game in the series if they didn't intend to finish it. Still, if they have concept art for it and Reach contained info like this, then they must have had some idea of what was to come.

No, it doesn't. It was confirmed a while ago that the AI from 'Halo 5' is indeed the same one from 'Halo 4'.

Bungie/Eric Nylund did write out the full pages. There's some text in each book (and each rip pattern is unique) that matches up to what we see written out in the PDF.

Bungie briefly considered making Halo 4, but as Paul Russel tells it, the idea was shot down pretty quickly.

It's Cortana, but it's not necessarily Cortana. For example, if you've seen the show Arrow, the difference between H4 Cortana and H5 Cortana is the difference between pre-island Oliver Queen, and post-island Oliver Queen. He's Oliver, but a different Oliver.
Interesting stuff. I'm starting to wonder if slipspace itself is a Precursor creation.

On a separate note, I do hope we get a version of the Wrath helmet without the skull. Not that I don't like it, but it always feels to specific to a particular character for me to want to use.

From what I read, Bungie toyed with the idea of making Halo 4 for their final Halo game, and explored that idea for a while before deciding that they'd be better off doing something standalone, rather than starting a new story they wouldn't be around to finish. Given that Halo has a long history of bringing back cut ideas, I always got the sense that 343 and Bungie both drew on those cut concepts for Halo 4 and Destiny, hence some of the similarities that were present.
Got a question with the universe entries for Emile and Jorge. Although under the operational control of the Army, shouldn't their affiliation be with their Branch (Navy)?
