How to setup Netgear xr500 router for halo 5

OP Persistencyy

Need help with advanced settings. I have Verizon Fios but my ping is kinda high. If anyone has this or the setup and has done it let me know. I want to lower my ping as much as it’s possible and have my router setup specifically for halo 5 Matchmaking.
To set up in-game ping on your router:
  1. Launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to your router’s network.
  2. Enter www.routerlogin.net.
    A login window displays.
  3. Enter the router user name and password.
The user name is admin. The password is the one that you specified the first time that you logged in. The user name and password are case-sensitive.
    The Dashboard displays.
  4. Click on Geo-Filter.
  5. Make sure that the device you are going to be monitoring ping on is added under the “Devices” section of the QoS page.
  6. Click the Menu icon in the Geo-Filter Map section.
  7. Clear the Auto Ping Host check box and close the Settings menu.
  8. In the Geo-Filter Map section, click on the user icon that you want to allow or deny access to your server.
    The Ping section displays.
  9. Click the Allow or Deny button.
Note: By clicking the Allow button, the server or user can connect with you even if they are outside your Geo-Filter map radius. By clicking the Deny button, the server or user is blocked even when they are inside your Geo-Filter map radius.
    Your settings are saved.
