Depends. Do you have something that supports 4k? It's more important to those who can use it. :)
The difference from 1080 to 4k is lovely on the eyes, you get to see more of the details developers wanted you to be able to see. Im taking the fact you posted this your setup isnt 4k compatible, should you one day get your rig running at 4k 60+ you wont look back 👍
1440p is the middle ground that I like. 4K is a waste of GPU resources in my opinion.
If I'm spending $400 on a gpu on my computer I better get 4k for my games. I'm kidding though I don't care about 4k HD or anything as long as it doesn't look like a game from Nintendo 64 I'm fine with it.
