Thank you for this post.

Halo CE deserves the attention. From terrible, low frame rate animations, campaign mission music overlaps, to strange hitching when playing in remastered mode - even on computer specs that would make the original Xbox blush, the game needs a bit of tlc. Another quandary I've discovered as of late pertains to the extreme difficulty on legendary. The increased framerate, while awesome, seems to have had an effect on the enemy intelligence, and not necessarily for the better. Some sections are absolutely brutal now due to how incredibly fast enemies react to the player.

  • MCC - General Quality of Life
Unlockable Backgrounds:https://www.reddit.com/r/halo/comments/jf9ncr/mcc_idea_theme_collection_including_unlockable/
With the themes being built-in, yet unused, while challenges and season points becoming more accessible, it'd be nice if we could spend Season Points to unlock background themes. This would include backgrounds of past Halo titles, as well as each MCC background:
Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST, Halo 3 ODST Multiplayer Disc, Halo Reach, Halo 4,
Halo CE MCC, Halo 2 MCC, Halo 3 MCC, Halo 3 ODST MCC, Halo Reach MCC, Halo 4 MCC,
The Yappening MCC, Flood MCC, Winter Warthog MCC,
making for a total of 16 different theme options and an option to shuffle your favorite ones, or all of them.

Revamped Achievement Menu: https://www.reddit.com/r/halo/comments/juhga5/concept_for_revamped_achievement_menu/
Tying into the last Quality of Life recommendation, with more unlockables, the player would need more opportunities to gain XP and Season Points. Achievements have little value in-game and the achievement menu is hard to navigate, so it'd be nice if it received a makeover to be easier to navigate and additionally had XP that coordinates with their gamerscore value. They would feature their achievement logo, achievement Xbox art, and whatever they unlock for the player. And with a visual of what they unlock, it's a perfect opportunity to add more in-game unlocks to coordinate with achievements:
- Each of the "Complete all Campaigns on X difficulty" Achievements grant a player icon correlates to that difficulty,
- Completing any LASO playlist achievement grants a Mythic Skull player icon,
- "No Picnic" achievement grants the player a chest piece permutation that's the basic chest wearing a Bear Backpack on top, reusing the backpack used to get the achievement.
There are many other opportunities for achievement unlocks to be added, these just serves as examples (but gosh I want that bear backpack).

Cross over each game's Skull/Add them as multiplayer options:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cp3BNorc1sU
Many of the game specific skulls can function from across games with little manipulation, for example, acrophobia works in both Halo CE and Halo 2.
First off, 343 you maniacs, I have no idea who programmed the skulls to let acrophobia function for both Halo CE, Halo 2, and Halo 3, but whoever did is the most incredible programmer I've ever known of. I understand if that specific skull is excluded from the first two games due to certain achievements becoming incredibly easy, but a condition could be added to its description saying that achievements are disabled with that skull.

Enable Flashlights/Nightvision through Gametype Options: https://www.halopedia.org/Flashlight
Even though the various models may not have canonical sources for a flashlight (such as the Halo 2 and 3 elite models nor the Halo 3 armor options), flashlights could still be used in the multiplayer game's engines. As an option under "appearance", they could be set to "disabled", "enabled", or "always on". This could lead to interesting Infection gametypes where survivors have a constant flashlight disadvantage.

Refine Score and Grant XP for Campaign Missions
So the algorithm for this could be tricky in keeping each mission fair and preventing the player from exploiting the XP system and mining XP. Many people recommend converting scores directly to XP. However, this would cause many problems for players who take their time and for short missions where players could grind for XP repeatedly. As an alternative, the score should be divided by a per-mission integer that's based on that mission's par time. Additionally, after the time limit is exceeded in a mission, instead of each kill/medal being dropped to 0 points, it should be dropped to 1, so the player's efforts aren't in vain and so drastically punished.

Toggle Controller Sensitivity w/ Vehicles
While reducing vehicle sensitivity in a vehicle may make it easier and more accessible, now PC users have an upper hand in being able to turn with more speed and correct their aim, so a toggle to enable and disable it for controllers would be appreciated. Additionally, the Steam controller greatly struggles to aim at all in vehicles.

Extras Library: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/forums/f3681fbc78fa43878c4aec9a63a46224/topics/an-extras-section/c550dec0-a7f6-4136-ae46-ff9fdb82c591/posts?page=1
To the main menu of MCC, would be added an option to access each cutscene and terminal, Halo Nightfall, legacy credits from the original Halo games, and the Model Library

Weapon maintain their skins
If a weapon or vehicle has a skin from a prior player, then when picked up, it shouldn't change. That way, a player's decision in skin bears more weight and allows them to show it off to other players. Additionally, it would grant the player more opportunity to try other skins in-game for deciding their own cosmetics.

  • MCC - Matchmaking
Multiple Size Selections in Matchmaking: https://www.reddit.com/r/halo/comments/ibxhpe/having_the_option_to_select_multiple_game_sizes/
Sometimes I care more about what game to play than what gamesize or gametype, but often when I try to play the less popular games, it takes over five minutes to connect. Having the option to connect through any size could prevent long matchmaking times, while allowing size specific gametypes like Infection and Big Team Battles to be generally accessible. This would overall decrease wait times for matches.

Give Firefight the Social Games Matchmaking Menu Layout
Sometimes, I just don't care what game I play for Fireefight. Additionally, it could provide more opportunity for gametypes to be added to Firefight matchmaking. It could include
- Firefight Limited,
- Firefight Doubles,
- Generator Defense,
- Action Sack,
- Firefight Versus,
And, just like in Social matchmaking, there could be weekly gametype cycles in Heroic difficulties, such as Shotty Snipers or Fiesta for example.

"Any Game" option for Ranked Matchmaking
The amount of time it takes to get in a match for competitive Matchmaking is a recurring problem. Allowing the player to just connect to any match, regardless of game, would be a slight improvement for the problem. Especially for players like me who just play Ranked matches for the weekly challenge, and then gives up when it takes more than five minutes.

Players Joining Active Social Games/Swapping Teams
Players quitting mid-match is a pretty common problem, so being able to join a friend who's midmatch and outnumbered after someone left would be a nice touch. A toggle in the Social Games menu to allow joining active games would resolve both this and help with matchmaking wait times. Servers for larger matches also wouldn't be wasted on small numbered matches. Additionally, if a team is uneven, a player on the other team should be able to change teams.

  • Halo CE
Fix shader_transparent_generic and other issues: https://www.reddit.com/r/HaloCERefined/comments/9lpk6m/port_issues_masterlist/
A lot of the integrity of the original Xbox version was lost due to Gearbox's port. Now that each game is ported and playable on PC, the priority can shift to fixing current bugs in major Quality-of-Life updates. The community has documented many of these bugs and errors in various sources.

Add Halo Anniversary's lost Kinect Functions: https://www.halopedia.org/Halo:_Combat_Evolved_Anniversary#Kinect_integration
Halo Anniversary offered an ability to scan objects in-game. Doing so would add that model to the Library with a brief description of that object in the lore. Its input on gamepads could just parallel that of Halo Reach's night vision and Halo 3's flashlight.

  • Halo 2
Gold Aggressor Sentinel beam Fix
The model and texture in the Anniversary graphics of Halo 2 are identical to the Halo 2 classic variant, it'd be nice if they had more gold and blue colors.

Restore Halo 2 Content in Halo 2 Anniversary
The lack of maps in Halo 2 Anniversary is staggering, and it'd be nice if they were restored. Preferably in the form of remade maps, but Forge variants of Awash, Nebula, and Skyward would be better than nothing. Additionally, the inclusion of the Spectre, Elite Armor cosmetics (High Councilor, Honor Guardsman, Ranger, and the Arbiter) would be wonderful. If Halo 2 Anniversary receives Season unlocks, it'd be a great opportunity to add this content as well. I'd also pay for a Halo 2 Anniversary map pack, in honor of the previous Halo 2's map pack.

New Spartan Armor
If the multiplayer for Halo 2: Anniversary received new armor for elites, then it'd only be fair if Spartans received similar treatement: Spartans could have the unused armor from Halo Online as it matches Halo 2 Anniversary Multiplayer's art style without taking identity away from other titles. Additionally, the ODST, Mark V, and Jameson Locke's armor could be added, though the later two may not have a unique identity as their designs are reused from other titles.

  • Halo 3
Add Halo Online Maps
As the Halo Online maps were designed for Halo 3’s engine, they would accompany Halo 3’s gameplay best. However the art style fits closer to modern 343 Halo titles so Halo 2 Anniversary or Halo 4 would be a good alternative.

Heretic Banshee Skin
With the implementation of skins in Halo and the winter skins reusing patterns from Avalanche, it’d be appropriate if the banshee skins reused the Halo 2 Heretic Banshee pattern.

  • Halo 3: ODST
Reuse Halo 3's skins for Firefight
Since Halo 3: ODST uses the same models and engine from Halo 3, it'd be nice if weapon and vehicle skins unlocked for Halo 3 were also usable in ODST's firefight.

Expanding ODST Cosmetics with Visors
With how restricted Halo 3: ODST's customization is, player's character choices tend to blend. I don't know if it's possible to expand on it without breaking the game too drastically, so granting Visor colors would be a nice alternative. Additionally, being able to have transparent visors from the Campaign would be a nice touch to further personalize the characters. And as Buck and Romeo got more cosmetic options, it'd be nice if Veronica Dare could wear her busted helmet from the campaign.

Firefight Versus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wIXJRB_mmI
Since Elites are included in ODST's engine, and since ODST takes place during Halo 2, this would grant an opportunity for Firefight Versus in the same way that Halo: Reach offers it. Red team would play as three ODST troopers, while a single Elite would be on blue team with the covenant using the player's Halo 3 cosmetics. It would additionally be functional in matchmaking.

Further Firefight Vehicle and Weapon Options
ODST's firefight options lacks Halo 3's Plasma Sword, Sentinal Beam, and golf club, as well as the Trooper Hog, Mongoose, Scorpion, Chopper, Ghost, Banshee, Prowler, Wraith, and Elephant as starting options. While I highly doubt the latter would be possible, it'd be nice if the others were added as starting options, alongside a random vehicle option (which would randomize a vehicle per weapon drop).

  • Halo Reach: General
Invasion Added to 12 Player Social Games
Invasion being limited to Ranked matches adds a more tense environment, keeping the player from learning how to play it in a casual setting, and since 12 player Social Game sizes only has Infection, it'd be a good opportunity to include Invasion, additionally, being renamed from 12 FFA to 12 TEAMS, since neither Infection nor Invasion are Free for All gametypes. However, since it supports so few maps, it'd be nice if 343 Forged additional map variants for it. Ridgeline, Breakneck, Tempest, and Highlands all have the physical space to support those player counts. High Noon and Condemned can support that count at the very maximum. They may not be as balanced as the existing maps, but that's okay outside of Ranked's competitive gametypes and need for balance. This would also be a good opportunity for teams to use the player's color choices as Elites and Spartan cosmetics are drastically different enough for casual play.

New Weapons
Halo: CE Anniversary allowed for Reach gametypes with a buffed magnum. It's pretty restrictive so for consistency, adding Halo: CE's magnum as a new standalone weapon would be a good alternative. Additionally, an incomplete variant of the Sniper Rifle exists that features a laser sight. While purely cosmetic, it would be a nice addition.

New Armor Abilities? https://tcrf.net/Halo:_Reach#Unused_Armor_Abilities
This addition is more controversial, as it changes the balance of the game, but there are several unused Armor Abilities in Halo Reach: the Ammo Pack, Power Fist, Repulsor, Sensor Pack, Super Jump, MP Pulse, and Shield Generator.

New Forge Template
With the addition of Forge objects to Forge World, there’s far more opportunities for new maps but little opportunity for a new aesthetic. Reusing the Long Night of Solace’s air combat segment outside of Anchor 9 would work well as a blank canvas for forge content (especially with the addition of air vehicles in Forge).
3/3
  • Halo Reach: Firefight
Cut Firefight Content: https://tcrf.net/Halo:_Reach#Gametypes
A "schism" behavior type, as well as hostile drones and guta were cut from Reach firefight, but function as intended. With all the firefight additions previously mentioned, adding these behaviors would be good for the game and added Action Sack gametypes.

Additional Enemy Variants
Halo Reach features "Heretic Elites" enemies, sporting UNSC weapons, while no other covenant uses them. It'd be nice if the other Covenant could use them as well. Zealout Elite squadrons are additionally excluded from Firefight.

Lone Wolf in Firefight
There isn't a lot of map variety in firefight, so the Lone Wolf map would be a nice touch. However, typically Firefight has safe zones built in for the player to spawn, but Lone Wolf was explicitly designed with less places for shelter, so adding more structures would compliment Firefight's intended gameplay well. Additionally, with its more open spaces, adding a vehicle would compliment it well.

Alternate Vehicles in Firefight
Unlike Halo 3: ODST, you cannot customize and choose vehicles in Halo Reach despite having more Vehicle maps. Allowing that as an option would be a nice touch.

Refined/Additional Gametypes
Fistfight should always have Black Eye turned on, adding more strategy to a less interesting gametype. "Heretic Firefight" could additionally be added, swapping Spartan and Elite loadouts, and making all enemies their Heretic variants with UNSC weapons. Dino Firefight could also be added, giving players infinite jetpack with infinite concussion rifle, facing only Ranger elite groups.

  • Halo 4
Halo Online Armor Abilities: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yRU3Zrci2s
Halo Online features some very powerful armor abilities that I would have recommended for Reach, but I realize they may be better in Halo 4's sandbox. These include the Concussive Blast (a physics blast against all nearby objects dealing no damage), Lightning Strike (boosting melee speed), Reflective Shield (reflecting Melee damage received), Vehicle cloaking (only usable inside vehicles turning them invisible). They would compliment many tactical packages and support upgrades, while preserving Halo Online's history.

Playable Elites
As Halo 2: Anniversary Multiplayer uses a modified engine of Halo 4, it'd be cool if Elites were backported. The main difference is that they would use Halo 4's elite models: the Commander, Ranger, Storm, Warrior, and Zealot armor variants.

Dual Wielding?
Additionally reusing content Halo 2: Anniversary content without either game losing their individual identities, it'd be nice if Dual Wielding was added. However, rather than modifying the game itself, they would be added as either Tactical Packages, a gametype option, or, for singleplayer, a skull option in singleplayer.

    • Adding Unused Content through Skulls
Bang Skull (from Halo: CE)
All weapon sounds are replaced by 343 employees saying the word "bang".
Shield Flood Skull (based on unused enemy from Halo 2 and 3)
All Flood Carriers are granted jackal shields, making them more powerful.
Banger Infection Skull (based on unused enemy from Halo 3)
All infection flood forms explode.
Assassin Skull (from Halo 3)
All enemies are now cloaked! Albeit a bit brutal.
Third Person Skull (from Halo 3: ODST)
The camera is now over the shoulder at all times, rather than a first person view.
Just a very small specific graphical gripe I have with the Reach spartan armor customization. The chest piece 'Tactical/Recon' shows two pouches on the rear of the waist of the spartan in game menu but does not appear in game. That's all I got.
  • MCC HALO GAME: Halo:Reach(But also H3 and H4)
  • FEEDBACK: 12 Man Social Lobby
  • ADDITIONAL INFO: Just another request to please include a 12 man server for Social Games with Invasion being the gametype of focus. I'm sure you're all well aware of the complaints in regards to Invasion now and it being on ranked. It does not have to come off of ranked!! Just please give it a lobby in social. I'm sure it will be much more popular in social, where those who look to rank up and play in full squads can take advantage of competitive. There are also many other Invasion game types which are not included currently such as Invasion Slayer and Invasion Skirmish. Highlands also has Invasion support if you are considering another map
If Invasion itself does not warrant it's own lobby(which I understand), I recommend including Halo 3's Squad Battles playlist (which was literally 6v6 big team; truth be told I'm sure H2A can support this too) and Dominion for Halo 4. I think this would make perfect sense with today being the release of Halo 4 and a new playlist update potentially coming soon. I assure you would be pleasing a large community base!

I agree, especially the inconsistency of Halo ce mcc to original xbox halo.

MCC HALO GAME: All
FEEDBACK: Upon entering settings after the Nov 17 patch, there is a red prompt "One or more actions are not bound to a key. (HALO 2, HALO 3, HALO 3: ODST, HALO 4)". I cannot save changes to any other settings until unbound keyboard bindings are fixed. The keybinds are nonsensical, like Tab for Ascend in Theater, I did not set these. "Restore to default settings" does not set keybinds to default. This problem did not exist before this patch.

The following keybinds were mangled:
  • Actions > Fire: Unbound (should be Mouse 1 by default) (Halo 4 settings only)
  • Actions > Special Action: Unbound (Halo 4 settings only)
  • UI Controls > Toggle Scoreboard: Unbound (should be Tab by default)
  • Forge > Grab/Release Object: Unbound (should be Mouse 1 by default)
  • Theater > Ascend: Tab (should be R by default)
Seriously, how do you release a new Halo into the MCC and forget to bind the fire button for M+KB players?
MCC HALO GAME: All
FEEDBACK: I have an unlocked item I cannot find, causing "You have unlocked 1 new item(s). Go to Options & Career to see this." to pop up every time I return to the main menu. This issue has persisted since ODST was released. There are no new item indicators in Options & Career.

  • MCC HALO GAME: Halo 1 & Halo 2
  • FEEDBACK: Since this update, there is a noticeable FPS problem. The default setting was reset to 60FPS. Went to change it back, and was required to bind keyboard keys for Halo 3, Halo 4 etc, when I don't even own the games. But once I changed it back to 240FPS, the problem persisted. I also wanted to ask other players if they were noticing the FPS problem, but hitting tab no longer cycles thru different chats to All Chat.
  • Also your competitive playlists are quite bad. No 4v4 Halo 2 Hardcore is mystifying.
  • MCC HALO GAME: Halo: Reach
  • FEEDBACK: Was the severe audio issues for Halo: Reach ever solved? Wouldn't mind playing the game, especially since it has a Hardcore competitive playlist, but it was such an egregious bug that never was fixed after months of addressing. Can anyone confirm?
i didn't get a chance to unlock every challenge based unlock due to the fact that i have had a lot of personal things going on in my life. i was curious if it was still possible to unlock stuff based off of the seasonal challenges from previous seasons. if not my feedback is that that needs to be implemented because not everyone has the time to sit down and play game for hours on end every single day to reach unlocks espeacially ones that take a long time to do.
