However, it seems 2v2v2v2 is available on Xbox MCC. So I'm wondering if they decided to only remove it from Reach, since I'm not sure what games the 2v2v2v2 option is available for.

I want 16 player FFA to be a thing, and every mode available in 4v4 (minus Grifball) to be in 8v8.

I think it got rotated out of xbox MCC before Reach released. They'll probably bring it back and then remove infection again, it tends to be like that.
