Happy New Year! The next time you log into the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta, you will be prompted to download a small content update. This particular content update improves matchmaking by adjusting how the dedicated servers are selected.

Thank you for your continued participation and feedback as we continue to improve and refine the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer experience.

This week during the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta, battle it out in Breakout, a brand-new game type. Breakout is round-based, and your Spartan has one-life. First team to take five rounds wins. You’ll be able to play the game type on a map named Crossfire, or its variant, Trench.

The Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta is now available! The Multiplayer beta runs from today (Dec. 29) through January 18, and focuses on the arena gameplay portion of Halo 5: Guardians’ full Multiplayer experience.
