The Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta is now available! To join the action, head to the “Extras” menu within Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and select the “Halo 5 MP Beta” option. The multiplayer beta runs from today (Dec. 29) through January 18, and focuses on the arena gameplay portion of Halo 5: Guardians’ full multiplayer experience. The beta includes seven maps and three game types, as well as a variety of different armor sets to customize your Spartan. Throughout the beta, you’ll also have the opportunity provide feedback through the Halo Channel – check out last week’s episode to vote for which power weapon you’d like to see next.

Below, you’ll find the schedule for the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta:

  • Week 1
    • Slayer (AR starts)
  • Week 2
    • Slayer (BR starts)
    • Breakout
  • Week 3

This week during the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta, battle it out in Breakout, a brand-new game type. Breakout is round-based, and your Spartan has one-life. First team to take five rounds wins. You’ll be able to play the game type on a map named Crossfire, or its variant, Trench.
