Season 2 Forge Maps

By -

Since the launch of the Halo Championship Series, members of the Forge community have been expertly crafting their own arenas within Halo 2: Anniversary’s Forge mode. These Forgers have spent hours upon hours crafting these creations, and we’re looking forward to making our selections for inclusion into Season 2 of the Halo Championship Series. Today, we’re releasing a candidate list of maps that are being considered and tested - seven unique Forge maps built from the ground up with 4v4 action in mind.

Starting now, you can download these maps from the “Official HCS” File Share. We encourage all players to download, play and give feedback on these maps. What do you like about the maps? What are some things you think that could be improved? Did you somehow find a way to get out of the normal map boundaries? Be sure to let us know in this forum thread. Below, you’ll find the Forge maps that are being considered and tested for Season 2 of HCS:

NOW TESTING: RICOCHET

As you can see above, we’re looking forward to adding some fresh experiences with not only new Forge maps, but also a new game type: Ricochet. We’ll be looking to get feedback from top teams and players on game type implementation, and we’re excited to see the new strategies that develop on existing and new maps. Additionally, we look forward to working with top performers from Season 1 regarding the final Forge map selection, which will be announced in the coming weeks. To download these candidates as well as HCS Ricochet, just add “Official HCS” to your friends list on Xbox Live. Shortly after, “Official HCS” will appear on your friend’s list within Halo: The Master Chief Collection, where you’ll be able to access the File Share and download all maps and game types to your Xbox One.

Stay tuned to HaloWaypoint.com/HCS and @Halo on Twitter for more updates on Halo Championship Series. Later this week, we’ll have more on Season 2, including dates for all tournaments, prize pools, updated rules, and more.
