Back in November as part of our celebration of the 5 Year Anniversary of the Halo Championship Series (the official Halo esports league), we revealed the first details of our vision for the future of Halo esports. We shared our ambitions to put together a thriving ecosystem for all players, teams, and partners to flourish in, and our plans to release a full 12 month esports roadmap before launch, to name just a few. To build the greatest esports program Halo has ever seen, it will take a massive effort – however, we don’t intend to do it alone. Today we’re thrilled to announce that Esports Engine will be the Global Management Partner for Halo Infinite esports. It is our mission to deliver the best esports program that Halo has ever seen in its 18 year history and we couldn’t think of a better partner to work with than the long time Halo fans and esports veterans at Esports Engine.
To also deliver a message to the Halo community, here’s a word from Adam Apicella, CEO of Esports Engine:
We are extremely excited to work with 343 Industries as their Global Management Partner and leverage our rich Halo history and 20 years of esports operations experience to help build the best program for players, fans, teams, and tournament operators around the world. From our experience running Halo for so many years and also being a third party operator trying to make ends meet – now being able to help design a program that’s something the fans want, something the players want, that’s great for the teams, great for the other operators – it’s super exciting to be involved in such a monumental project.
Thanks Adam!
In their new role, Esports Engine have been integrated with the HCS team here at 343 Industries as we've been building out the program. Whether it’s ecosystem design, format and league operations, broadcasts, and more, the Esports Engine team are equipped to help us fully realize our vision for Halo Infinite esports. We are also very excited to work with Esports Engine again as they will take the helm at operating some key events on the roadmap to bring their nearly two decades of industry leading esports event operation experience to Halo.
Thank you once again for the continued support of Halo esports, we can’t wait to share more later this year. For all the latest on the Halo Championship Series, be sure to follow @HCS on Twitter.
