Help Support 8-Bit Salute: Gaming For The Troops

By -

Operation Supply Drop has been providing support to US and NATO troops for the past five years, and we'd like to help continue the support. OSD is putting on the 4th Annual 8-Bit Salute: Gaming For The Troops - an fundraising opportunity for gamers from all walks of life.

You can register for 8-Bit Salute absolutely free here.

Here's a quick blurb from Operation Supply Drop, and how you can learn more about 8-Bit Salute: Gaming For The Troops.

MEGA GAME MARATHON WHEN:  May 16th 1200 CST – May 17th 1200 CST

WHERE:  In your comfy chair, at a friend’s house, or really wherever you get your game on!

GAME/PLATFORM:  Any game, any platforms. There are no restrictions: you want to play 24-hours of shuffleboard, it’s up to you!

HOW IT WORKS:  Simply ask your friends and family to sponsor you. They can make a monthly pledge or a one-time gift.  We encourage each participant to have a goal of $200 in donations.  Easy math says that's only $20 from 10 people, plus if you register as ELITE, you'll earn a bad-to-the-bone t-shirt once you raise $200 on your personal page!  Have a seat (or stand) and play games on May 16th and see how long you can hold out and how much you can raise for the troops!

WHO IT BENEFITS:  Learn more about the successful OSD programs here and read the most up-to-date news here.

As usual a lot has happened since our last Community Update and the pace shows no signs of slowing. This week we shared a first-look at Halo: Reach and Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC, continued promotion for our rapidly approaching first stop of Halo: Outpost Discovery, and traveled to Dallas to support a Halo esports event this weekend at DreamHack Dallas via the HCS Grassroots program – and that's just the start.
