We also had two Preseason cups for teams to not only settle into their rosters, but also to seed Iron Games HCS Atlanta. Here’s a look at the seeds as well as the new rosters for each team:

SEASON 2 SHUFFLE

If you don’t recognize the team with the first place seed, you’re not alone. Team Randa is the new, up-and-coming team taking the scene by storm. Led by newcomer Randa alongside veteran stalwarts, they’re looking to solidify their place in the HCS. After a disappointing showing in Season 1, OpTic Gaming decided to release Contra, and replaced him with Maniac, formerly of Noble Black. Noble Black’s roster would see even more changes after APG was offered Cloud’s former place on Denial. Cloud was secured by Counter Logic Gaming, who despite their second place finish at the Season 1 Finals, felt they need to increase their slaying power to compete with Evil Geniuses. Who from CLG did Cloud replace? It would be Heinz, who then later replaced RyaNoob on Denial.

Still with us? Great!

Likely the biggest news from the Season 2 shuffle was from Justin “iGotUrPistola” Deese. After sustaining an injury very early in Season 1, he was no longer able to compete and was replaced on EG. It was recently announced that Cloud9’s white and blue would be the new colors for iGotUrPistola to wear, and we’re curious to see how they perform this weekend. Astute readers will notice that it was the captain Ninja who was released from Cloud9, but he would quickly find his place on Noble Black.

Iron Games HCS Atlanta is shaping up to be the most exciting LAN event yet in the Halo Championship Series, and we hope you’ll join us! If you’re in the Atlanta area, spectators are welcome for free and if you’d like to watch in the comfort of your own home, be sure to tune in on Halo Channel or Twitch.tv/Halo.
