Episode 24

It’s been an awesome summer working on The Bulletin. We’ve traveled to some amazing places, met incredible fans, and shared our stories along the way. And today’s episode is a perfect example of this.

We head to the Oregon countryside to meet Jeremie and Alexis, the passionate creators of one of the most epic Halo costumes I’ve ever seen - a 12-foot Hunter. I loved hearing about their process and watching them work.

For Fresh Picks this episode you should check out Hunt the Truth if you haven’t yet. This is required listening to get ready for the launch of Halo 5:
Guardians and season 2 is coming soon so get caught up!

You should also watch Halo 101: Ellen Anders. I’ve been re-watching these after the Halo Wars 2 announcement to catch up on the story and I always really like Professor Anders, she kind of reminds me of a less-scary Dr. Halsey.

We’re at that time in development where we go heads down to support launch, but don’t worry, there’s still a lot of great content coming your way. The Bulletin will be taking a break but we’ll be back at launch, and we’ve got lots of exciting stuff to share in the meantime.

We’ll see you next time, on The Bulletin!

I have been fortunate to visit a few great places over the summer while filming The Bulletin, but personally, this trip to MEGA Bloks epic headquarters in Montreal might be my favorite. Our video in this week’s episode really only covers a small part of a massive operation. From concept all the way to final production and packaging, it’s all done right there. During the tour I couldn’t help but feel like Charlie Bucket visiting Willy Wonka’s factory….minus the Oompa-Loompas and chocolate river...

Before working at 343, I was aware of esports but it wasn’t until RTX 2013 that I really got into it. I remember sitting backstage of the qualifiers for the Halo Global Championship in complete awe of the production and competitive play. I found myself getting caught up in the high-stakes matches and becoming interested in the personal stories of pros and amateurs alike that showed up.

I sure do love learning how things are made. Whether it’s a game, costume, or toy; I’m fascinated by the process and it always ends up being more complex or interesting than I imagined. Being at San Diego Comic Con this year and seeing all the incredible stuff people show up with reminded me of this. The 405th, a community of Halo cosplayers, were there donned in amazing armor and props. Mega Bloks built an epic diorama to help us reveal a new Warzone map, Raid on Apex 7.Plus, we had Warzone...
