We’re midway through April and regular season play of the second HCS season is about to kick-off in a huge way! This weekend, teams from around the country will gather in Atlanta, GA for Iron Games HCS Atlanta for a chance at the $25,000 prize pool. Season 2 of the Halo Championship Series continues with Preseason Cup #2 as we near the first LAN competition, Iron Games HCS Atlanta starting 4/17. Preseason Cup #2, just like Preseason Cup #1 from the previous week, offers preseason points. The points combined from both online tournaments will be used to seed Iron Games HCS Atlanta.

If you’re looking to attend Iron Games HCS Atlanta, then you’ll want to ensure your team competes online in the Preseason cups as they will provided Preseason points that will be used to determine your seed. Additionally, Preseason cups will allow teams to practice in a real tournament environment so you’re prepared for the big stage.

We’re excited to announce the second LAN Tournament of Season 2 in the Halo Championship Series, HCS Indianapolis presented by PGL. This LAN tournament will take place at Indy Pop Con 2015 in Indianapolis, Indiana and will feature a $25,000 prize pool. Many Halo competitors are familiar with the PGL brand, and we’re excited to be working with them to put together what’s sure to be a great competition featuring the world’s top teams.

On Sunday, March 8, the Loser’s Bracket Finals at the Halo Championship Series Season 1 Finals took place between Counter Logic Gaming and Noble Black. What ensued was completely unexpected, and what many fans call one of the greatest matches of Halo ever played. We caught up with Heinz, who played for CLG, and Arkanum, who played for Noble Black, in an interview conducted via Skype on March 13, to recount the epic series.
