Spartan Boomer was enlisted into the Spartan Division of the UNSC in year 2012, and has risen in the ranks quickly, as it he has been assigned to command The Expendables, a recently forged Spartan Company within ONI.
Spartan Boomer is originally from Earth, and helped end the Human-Covenant War and in the battle against the Didact and the Promethians.
He has also been assigned to the UNSC Infinity under command of Spartan Palmer. Much of Spartan Boomer's past is classified; however, many believe that there is more to the empty, vague words from ONI.
