It definitely depends on the game. Right now, Im doing H5 for the multiplayer (Lord knows it's not for the campaign), and toggle works better for it, I think. Most of MCC though, I prefer hold.

Halo 5 just felt like they did the customization so that they could get money off of REQ packs, Halo Reach's customization felt like it was worth it and actually did something.
