A different way to campaign.

For a largely linear first-person shooter, you wouldn’t think that there’d be a lot of room for exploratory curiosity and, to a lesser extent, side quests—but that’s where you’d be wrong. One of the things which makes Halo so awesome is its robust latitude toward player creativity—even during the course of an average, standard-fare mission.

For example, take the Phantom, the Covenant’s primary method for troop deployment. Sure it’s fun to take out the enemies after they’ve dropped onto the battlefield, but why not before? With the ability to shoot the dropship right out of the sky in a brilliant display of fireworks, one might consider it an opportunity.

An opportunity for what, you might ask? An opportunity for AWESOME!
