To launch Halo: The Master Chief Collection at E3, Xbox and developer 343 Industries recreated one of the most iconic moments in the newly re-mastered Halo 2, with a twist by revealing that what the audience is seeing is a holographic projection that is being watched by a new and pivotal character in the Halo universe: Agent Locke. The more Locke studies the Master Chief, the more the audience gets glimpses of Locke, and the dynamic between the characters is gradually revealed, a dynamic that will play out in the soon to be released Halo 5: Guardians.
