In 2001, Eric Nylund’s Halo: The Fall of Reach novel laid the foundations of a franchise that is this year celebrating its twenty fifth anniversary.

The Fall of Reach introduced us to the SPARTAN-II program, the brainchild of Dr. Catherine Halsey, and told the origin story of John-117—the Master Chief—from his childhood up to the events that lead directly into the first game, Halo: CE.

We are thrilled to announce that a full cast audio drama version of The Fall of Reach is in production—featuring Tim Dadabo as narrator, as well as the iconic and beloved voices of Steve Downes (John-117) and Jen Taylor (Cortana, Dr. Halsey)—in collaboration with our long-term friends and partners at Simon & Schuster Audio.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">THE FALL OF REACH</h2>

The 26th century. Humanity has expanded beyond Earth to hundreds of interstellar colonies, but the Unified Earth Government is struggling to control this vast empire. Dr. Catherine Halsey offers a solution and it starts with seventy-five children—trained to become super-soldiers to deliver humanity from seething colonial insurrections that threaten to erupt into full-blown interplanetary civil war. But an even greater peril lurks among the stars: the Covenant. A theocratic alliance of alien species hellbent on cleansing humanity from the galaxy.    This is the electrifying origin story of Spartan John-117—the Master Chief—and his legendary heroism in leading the fight against humanity’s annihilation.

Coming in 2027, we are thrilled to announce the next Halo novel being penned by Troy Denning.

Introducing Halo: Fireteam Noble.

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide"/>

2560. The galaxy remains fractured in the devastating wake of Cortana’s rise and the Created menace, while the Banished war machine relentlessly consolidates power across former Covenant space. To help counter these ongoing and emerging threats to humanity, Spartan Jun-A266—the last surviving member of Noble Team—struggles to forge a new generation of warriors on the hidden UNSC base Anvil Station, even as he battles the ghosts of his own past.

But when a renowned xenoarcheologist is brazenly abducted by a Banished strike team, Jun is pulled back into active operations alongside both old and new allies for a dangerous rescue mission, leading them all deep into hostile territory. Now Jun must confront the burden of survival and decide what it truly means to carry Noble Team’s legacy into a new era of conflict as this desperate mission may hold dire consequences far beyond a single missing civilian….

Renowned for its mix of breathless short-range encounters, stealth opportunities, and intense vehicle combat through memorable scenery such as snowy canyons and subterranean complexes, the original Assault on the Control Room showcased nearly every weapon and vehicle available in Halo: Combat Evolved’s campaign.

That made it the perfect mission to share with the world. Dive into the fully remade snow-filled wonders of Assault on the Control Room, complete with brand new gameplay enhancements like vehicle boarding and an expanded arsenal, in the full pre-release playthrough embedded above.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">BETTER TOGETHER</h2>

For the first time in Halo history, Halo: Campaign Evolved introduces four-player network co-op cross-play between XBOX Series X|S, PlayStation®5, and PC. Seamlessly squad up and experience the legendary story together with friends, no matter where they’re playing.

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1920" height="1080" src="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/03_HCE_StoryBlog_Inline_Action_1920x1080.jpg" alt="A squad of Grunts facing off two players playing Halo: Campaign in co-op mode." class="wp-image-168248" srcset="https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/03_HCE_StoryBlog_Inline_Action_1920x1080.jpg 1920w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/03_HCE_StoryBlog_Inline_Action_1920x1080-300x169.jpg 300w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/03_HCE_StoryBlog_Inline_Action_1920x1080-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/03_HCE_StoryBlog_Inline_Action_1920x1080-768x432.jpg 768w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/03_HCE_StoryBlog_Inline_Action_1920x1080-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://wpassets.halowaypoint.com/wp-content/2026/06/03_HCE_StoryBlog_Inline_Action_1920x1080-1568x882.jpg 1568w" sizes="(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px" /></figure>

Console versions of Halo: Campaign Evolved also support two-player split-screen for fully immersive nostalgia. Conquer all 13 missions from the “classically evolved” confines of your favorite couch on both XBOX Series X|S and PlayStation®5 consoles.

And, for the first time in the series, new armor customization can be utilized in co-op games to personalize and differentiate Spartans on the battlefield.
