I'm not exactly a Halo vet, but I've been playing for a while. I started back in 2009 during Halo 3 but didn't have XBL. I got Halo: Reach about a year after it came out, and with it XBL. This is when the racism started (issa joke). I started playing more and more frequently, Halo: Reach quickly became my favorite and most played game. I've joined clans on the game, met many people, made some friends, and even lost some. I played this mostly until H5 came out. There I met more people and lost more friends, but now I've got my group of friends. All of us are chill and we screw around a lot.
Personal Halo game ratings from experiences and other outside influences (MCC Exempt because it was a train wreck and still is):
Halo CE- Good game for the first of the series 6/10
Halo 2- Could have done so much better. Good story but too many glitches. 5.5/10
Halo 3- Prime of Halo, but not my personal favorite. Introduced many new things that helped shape the community and leveled out weapons and vehicles. Only a few minor glitches but it was mostly cosmetic stuff. 9/10
Halo Wars- First Halo RTS Game. Did amazing from my perspective. Could have added some more variation, but overall good story and game. 8.5/10
Halo Reach- My favorite Halo game. Story allowed us to see the hopelessness of Reach as we tried our best to save it. Armor, games, matchmaking were all good. Forge could have been a little better. I hated armor lock and the black screen. Overall though, game was good and is still very active today. 9/10
Halo 4- I actually liked this game. It was 343s first attempt at a game without Bungie so I cut them some slack. Armor customization was good, emblems were a step back, but the custom classes were a good idea that tied in with the whole simulation that multiplayer was now. The story was amazing and was emotional at the end. Spartan Ops was a good mini campaign with a decent story. Halo 4 wasn't so good at release but definitely got better over time. 6.5/10
Halo 5 Guardians- oh boy. This game was a train wreck at launch and I thought 343 would have learned. Microtransactions were enough to ruin the game, but the story was bad and the multiplayer was competitive focused for the most part. No infection, no endless survival, no Forge, or even a PvE mode at launch. Forge was the start of Halo 5 getting better. As time went on, the game got better and now it's a decent game with several fun game modes, maps made by the community in matchmaking, and weapons have become more balanced (though some remaining terrible). Overall the game, much like 4, was bad at release but got much better over time. 7.5/10
Halo Wars 2- a game we were all waiting for. Opening was awesome and the graphics were amazing in the cutscenes. Story was amazing too. One thing I didn't like was the Forerunner style of the Ark. It should have remained the Halo 3 way it looked really. I did like Red Team getting upgrades to their old armor. My favorite part was Jerome wrecking house on Enduring Conviction and then taking the Spartan way out of it. Multiplayer was okay and got better. Leaders being added in was a good idea too. 7.5/10
