I have about 400,000 kills in halo multiplayer, I just love the game. Play pretty much solo only on MCC these days and I always play to win.

Players need more incentive 2 actually try and win

I don't think this behavior has much to do with XP and trying to rank up. People do it because it is fun, there is real potential for high multi kills and dropping over 100 kills in a game.
