Hello There (totally not a reference to Obi-wan's Hello There). I'm a Portuguese Halo player and a great fan of the series.
My favorite Halo games ranges in categories. I don't have a particular favorite.
Campaign: Halo Combat Evolved and Halo 3
Story: Halo 2 and Halo 4. One epic and the other serious
Multiplayer: Halo Reach and Halo 5 Guardians
Soundtrack: Halo 2 Anniversary and Halo 3
Artstyle: Mixed, like in HW2 and what looks like in Halo Infinite.
Playstyle: I generally like all Halo games, wether it's full classic or enhanced. As long as I enjoy it, all fine by me.
My reaction to Halo Infinite
It has a LOT to discuss. Gameplay, story, art-style and the list goes on. What do I wish to see from gameplay? A mix of classic with modern. No Sprint and clamber or armor abilities, but some Spartan abilities. DOOM proved you don't need to have Sprint to have a fast-paced game. I could care less about the zoom type (Smart-Link (ADS) or Zoom), but I would prefer Zoom to be more unique. Realistic expectations? I honestly have no clue. Will they stick with modernized movement? Or will they return to the classic formula like the art-style? Or both? Story shouldn't really be discussed as to what or how it should be. I'll just say, as long as it is fun, memorable and makes sense with the established lore, all fine by me. The art-style doesn't need much debate. It looks like it's grabbing on HW2's formula (both art-styles mixed) and mixing them even further. It's more apparent in the Forerunner towers and Chief's entire Mark VI. I'll just leave it like this. Won't go too much in-depth.
How do you want John-117's story to end?
John-117 is already very old and has every single medal in the UNSC except the Prisoner of War and has participated in over 200 ground engagements. He deserves more than anything else a proper ending. John-117's story will end, everything does, but if he's definitively ending I'm in a tie between discharge and MIA, while more balanced to the MIA side. If he goes MIA, no one will ever know what happened to him and would become a Legend. So he never dies but he's also not alive.
If Halo is to continue after the events of 2550s, what would I like to see?
I think Jerome would be the perfect replacement for Chief. Not only is his body and mind 20 years delayed, but he shows a lot of potential of becoming the next Legendary Spartan-II, together with Douglas and Alice. As for the enemies I would like a movement to restore the Covenant back to it's former glory before the Great Schism, who have been hidden in the galaxy building their fleet awaiting for their time to rise and attack.
My armor in Halo Reach is NOT like how it is depicted here. My current permanent Halo Reach armor consists of:
Helmet: Mark VI | FC-I Attachment (1st Attachment)
Right Shoulder: Commando
Left Shoulder: Security
Wrist: Tactical Tacpad or whatever (forgot at the time)
Knee Guards: FJ/Para
Visor Color: Gold
lets hit'em where it hurts!
