The HCS Open @ DreamHack Dallas kicks off on May 23-25th, the second event of the 2025 season that will reward HCS points!
Things are off to a hot start already and we can’t wait to be back at DreamHack for what’s shaping up to be one of the best HCS DreamHack events we’ve ever seen – let’s get into the details.

Since Dreamhack hosts many different games and experiences outside of just HCS, we've had to make some ticketing alterations. Here's how it all breaks down:
- General Admission: $99/per Person - Grants access to the entire DreamHack event for all 3 days.
- Team Pass: $299/per Team - Includes (4) Players and (1) Coach. Grants access to the entire DreamHack event for all 3 days.

In order to complete your team pass transaction, you must sign up with your FULL TEAM! All players will need a Start.gg account to be added to the roster.

FORMAT
The HCS Open @ DreamHack Dallas will be a tried-and-true HCS event with the normal three components:
- Pool Play for qualifying teams.
- Open Bracket for any team to sign up and make it to Pool Play.
- Championship Bracket for the best teams from Pool Play.
POOL PLAY
- 4 Pools of 4
- Single Round Robin
- 1st & 2nd in Pools go to Winners Round 1
- 3rd in Pools goes to Lower Round 1
- 4th in Pools is eliminated
We'll start with (48) teams in the Open Bracket, then the Top (4) teams will advance to Pool Play which will feature (16) total teams. Pool Play breaks down as follows:

CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKET
The Championship Bracket is where the best of the best will clash for their share of $150,000 and a paid trip to the next HCS LAN event - the HCS Salt Lake City Major hosted by Spacestation on August 1-3!
- 12-Team Double Elimination.
- Top 4 teams will lock in Pool Play at SLC Major.

As usual, HCS will be providing travel coverage for HCS Partnered teams, all teams that start in Pool Play, and for (1) team from each region to compete in the Open Bracket!

HOW TO QUALIFY
Teams will qualify for the HCS Dallas Open in (2) ways: HCS Dallas Qualifiers, or HCS Point Totals.
- NA/EU teams will compete for Pool Play spots in their Dallas Pool Play Qualifiers.
- MX/ANZ teams will compete for Travel Coverage in their Dallas Open Bracket Qualifier.
HCS Open Series: Road to Dallas
The HCS Open Series will take place in all regions as teams stack up HCS Points ahead of the HCS Dallas Qualifiers.

Following the HCS Open Series, teams from all regions will battle it out in their respective Dallas Qualifiers for Pool Play seeds and/or Travel Coverage to compete in the Open Bracket!

Travel Coverage
Additional teams from each region will earn Travel Coverage to compete in the HCS Dallas Open Bracket!

- MX: Winner of MX Open Bracket Qualifier
- ANZ: Winner of ANZ Open Bracket Qualifier
SIDE EVENTS
As a staple at all our live events, we’ll be hosting a $5,000 FFA tournament as well as more Side Events across various Halo games totaling an additional $10,000 in prizing. If you want to play Halo at DreamHack, we’ve got you covered!
Side Events will be open to all event attendees - Registration will take place on site and will be first come, first served!
