Halo Fest Update: Authors and Artists

Welcome back, friends. We’re keeping the news rolling with Halo Fest as we’ve still got a lot to share in the fewer than 2 months remaining until the big weekend. Here are the most recent blogs in case you missed them:
AUTHORS
At Halo Fest, we want all fans to be able to celebrate their favorite slice of the Franchise with likeminded community members, and the fans of the lore and fiction are without exception. Today we’re excited to announce a few friends that will be joining your party!
TROY DENNING
Troy is the author of a large (and growing) catalog of Halo novels including Halo: Silent Storm, Halo: Shadows of Reach, and the upcoming 2027 release, Halo: Fireteam Noble.
MATT FORBECK
Matt is the author of a set of Halo novels including stories surrounding fan-favorite ODST characters in Halo: New Blood and Halo: Bad Blood.
TIM LEBBON
Author of the newly released Halo: Parasite’s Wake will also be joining you all at Halo Fest!
JEREMY PATENAUDE
Jeremy Patenaude is the author of Halo: Empty Throne and was long time member of the Halo Franchise Team.
AUTHOR ACTIVATIONS
At Halo Fest, the authors will be part of two main activations:
- Community Stage: As announced last week, the Community Stage will play host of two full days of panels, fireside chats, and more and it will all be hosted by the Community. We’re still finalizing who we’re going to work with in the Community, but you can expect each author to be part of a panel on their own for in depth conversation as well as part of group panels.
- Meet and Greets: Near the Community Stage will be a meet and greet area where you’ll be able to meet your favorite authors, take photos, and get some books signed! If you forgot to bring a book with you then no worries – we’re working with long time partners at Simon & Schuster to have books on sale inside of the Merch booth. If you're looking to grab some novels now to prepare yourself, head to https://www.simonandschuster.com/series/Halo.
You can also expect some conversations with the authors as part of the main stage content and presentations.
We’ll need a few more weeks to finalize the details of the panels, schedule, and more so be on the lookout of those later in November.
A huge thank you to the authors and Simon & Schuster for supporting the Halo community!
ARTIST COMMISSION
Earlier this year we commissioned over two dozen artists from the Community and former Halo professionals to create all new art in celebration of Halo’s 25th anniversary as well as Halo Fest. The artists were able to pitch multiple ideas and once we agreed on the piece the artists got to work. There were a few rounds of iteration until all parties were pleased with the results. Without further delay, we’re so excited to share the art that was created in alphabetical order.

And of course, let’s take a look at the incredible work from the Halo professional artists we worked with as well.
Eddie Smith

Isaac Hannaford

Jan Urschel

Lorraine Mclees

At Halo Fest, this art will be seen around the venue including posters, banners, and of course in the art gallery. We want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of the artists that we worked with on this commission project especially those incredibly talent artists directly from the Halo community. Your passion, talent, and love for Halo inspires us all and we can’t wait to celebrate with you at Halo Fest.
CONCLUSION
That’s going to do it for this update! Have a great weekend and we’ll see you next week for some more updates.
Thanks,
Tashi
