TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The Halo World Championship will feature a 16-Team Pool Play into Double Elimination Championship Bracket.
- Qualification: The Top 12 placing teams from Orlando (regardless of region) will qualify for Pool Play.
- Play-In Stage: The Top 2 placing teams from each region (outside of the top 12 at Orlando, HCS points used as tiebreaker) will be invited to an 8-team play-in bracket at the Halo World Championship. The Top 4 placing teams from the Play-in Stage will join the other Top 12 teams in Pool Play.
- Pool Play: 4 groups of 4, Round Robin. The top 3 teams from each pool will advance to Championship Bracket. The bottom team will be eliminated from the tournament.
- Championship Bracket: Double Elimination, Best of 5 until Grand Finals (Best of 7)

The action kicks off with the Play-In Stage on October 20th.
Each region's top 2 contenders will battle it out in a double elimination bracket for the final 4 Pool Play spots!

Pool Play begins on October 21st, as the Top 12 teams from the Orlando Major fight for Bracket Play!
- Top 2 teams in each Pool will start in Winners Bracket Round 1
- 3rd Place teams will start in Elimination Bracket Round 1

$25,000 FFA TOURNAMENT
As always, ASTROGaming is hooking up event attendees with a $25,000 FFA Tournament!
- Registration will be open for up to 256 players and spectators.
- The FFA tournament checkin will begin at 11:00am for VIP and 11:30am for GA. The tournament will start at 2:00pm on Friday, October 21st. You must pre-register at hcs.ee.gg and then check in onsite to compete in the FFA Tournament.
- Must have a Spectator ticket to participate.
$5,000 COSPLAY CONTEST
For the first time at an HCS event, we are hosting a Halo Cosplay Contest. With $5,000 at stake, cosplay enthusiasts will show off their amazing creations for all to see (and judge)!

This is a one day event split into two heats on Saturday October 22, 2022.
- Heat 1 (3:00PM PT-3:45PM PT): All those in costume will be invited on stage in groups to show off costume to the audience and judges. The judges will score all participants based on execution, creativity, complexity and accuracy. Entrants with the top 10 scores will be invited to Heat 2.
- Heat 2 (7:00PM - 7:45PM PT): Will be limited to the top 10 participants from Heat 1 and given 4 minutes to showcase each costume. Judges will present the top 3 winners.
