It's one of our favorite times of the month: time for a new Spotlight issue!

Let's take a look at a round-up of some of the latest and greatest community creations.

CRÈME DE LA CRÈME

Raineosa kicks us off with a recreation of the iconic "Return to Sender" cinematic from Halo 2, except the Master Chief doesn't need a bomb to give back to the Covenant—a lone Spartan dual-wielding gravity hammers will be a match for any antimatter detonation!

How much story can you fit into 47 seconds? Echo-482 has put together a fantastic custom cinematic in Halo 2's engine depicting Thel 'Vadam in two very different situations...

Jloughlenart has been working on doing individual pieces for every known SPARTAN-II super-soldier, and you can see a selection of their incredible 3D work below!

MegaXStudios has just finished up their very first commission of a custom Banished Honor Guard Councilor, which has turned out beautifully!

We recently celebrated the Master Chief's birthday, and Silent1Meow has delivered a very important package for the occasion.

Rosedot7zip has been lamenting poor Yorick—she knew him well, Horatio: a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy.

ZoinksLord has been flooding us with awesome creations lately!

EPITAPH

Halo: Epitaph, the latest novel by Kelly Gay, saw the return of the Didact following the events of Halo 4 and Halo: Escalation, detailing what happened next in the Forerunner commander's great journey and how it intersected with events in both Halo 5 and Halo Infinite.

It is also available in trade paperbackebook, and unabridged audiobook formats, with the audiobook being narrated by Keith Szarabajka—the voice and motion capture actor for the Didact himself.

We've loved seeing the community creations this book has spun up, so here's a highlighted selection.

TheGcustoms has created a custom Ur-Didact figure, the detail of which has to be admired! It even features a hand-sculpted head piece that can be swapped from the helmet.

CxeeFoxx celebrated the release of the novel with an art piece inspired by Chris McGrath's cover art from paper, markers, vellum and light.

The Didact's wisdom tells us that you are what you dare, and DanfromOnami has dared to create a wonderful illustration of the Didact and his companion Haruspis, who serves as something of a surrogate child and Virgil figure on this road to redemption.

ClebMaher has not simply sought the Didact, but has sought to become the Didact with this very handsome custom-made mask of the character.

RiteshKMondal has done several illustrations of the Didact as a homage to the character and Epitaph's cover art. A most worthy contribution to the Forerunner ecumene!

SILVER

Season two of the Halo television series is drawing to a close, and Urihell343 has honored the Spartans of Silver Team with these glorious portraits.

Likewise, we lost Vannak-134 during the fall of Reach a few weeks back, and Thekay117 has honored the Spartan with an illustration to bid farewell to this noble protector of human and animal-kind alike.

VALIANT VIDEOS

Use of the Warthog in Halo Infinite's Firefight has proven to be considerably effective, but ChrisDAnimation and LexWexy are here to show us that no target is too large for the M12's chaingun!

CreedDesignCo has taken to the arena and... oh god, it's JEROME-092 WITH THE STEEL CHAIR TIMELAPSE!

A Spartan versus Executor standoff from HaloBoxStudios proves to be an exercise in cool dramatic tension!

I'm gonna be real with you, I'm not quite sure what I have just witnessed with this video by ThrowGerki... I just know that I love it, and that you need to see it too.

A GATHERING OF GREATNESS
