Spotlight: November 2, 2023
Somehow, 2023 is coming to a close—we're in the home stretch now that Halloween has passed... but that just means it's an opportune time for us to look at some amazing new community creations.
Behold, our latest gathering of really cool stuff!
CRÈME DE LA CRÈME
Kicking things off for this issue is this gorgeous piece by millisworlds, depicting the Master Chief, Cortana, 343 Guilty Spark, and a bunch of Marines on the verdant rolling hills of Halo with an enormous beam tower in the background. It's a piece that beautifully encapsulates the essence of this series!

Next up, it was recently Halo's birthday. Not the release of Halo: CE, that still to come, but the release of Eric Nylund's Halo: The Fall of Reach, which began our great journey into the Halo universe through prose.
OfB3autyNRage has recreated the cover of the novel with our latest rendition of the classic Mjolnir Mark V armor, depicting the Spartans of Blue Team fighting to protect the planet they called home.

Speaking of Halo: CE, Justin Grosjean has put together a great little scene in comic form after Captain Keyes orders the UNSC Pillar of Autumn to be brought to combat alert alpha, prompting the awakening of an old friend.

EtherealEOD delivers another stunning piece depicting a scene in-parallel with a moment from the Halo 2: Anniversary Terminals, where Arbiter Heki 'Gibadee brought the Unggoy Rebellion to an end but welcomed them into the Covenant military.
Here, we see the contemporary Arbiter, Thel 'Vadam, likewise extending a hand to a fallen Unggoy. We see what you did there, Ethereal!

Concluding this section is a wonderful depiction of Endurance-of-Will by iso_didacta. Endurance was a Warrior-Servant who was once a lover to the Didact before he would ultimately choose to pursue romance beyond his rate, but she would serve her commander right until the fateful time came to seal him away within Requiem.
Endurance is encountered in Halo 4 as the final Promethean Knight that spawns in to protect the Didact's Cryptum, and she appeared once more in Halo 5 as a Warzone boss. Her pre-Composed form has been beautifully interpreted by iso_didacta!

What could possibly lie behind that door?
Though I personally attended MCM London this year, I unfortunately did not bear witness to the absolutely incredible spectacle of these Halo cosplayers showing off their well-practiced victory crouching. Thankfully, it has been preserved for everyone's enjoyment by pippysmudge!
