Fleetcom Fete
August has arrived, a new Operation in Halo Infinite has landed, and it’s time for a Community Update to round up all the latest news!
HALO INFINITE
OPERATION: FLEETCOM
Operation: Fleetcom is live in Halo Infinite, bringing with it new modes, a new Operation Pass, a wealth of sandbox and Forge updates, and more.
NEW MODES
VIP has returned—a mode that originally debuted in Halo 3 back in 2007 and has been missing-in-action since. The objective of this 4v4 mode is to protect your VIP while eliminating the enemy VIP, first to ten points wins.
Also on the horizon is Headhunter, making its return from Halo: Reach, coming later this Operation. For more information, check out our VIP blog!
OPERATION PASS
You know the drill: new Operation, free 20-tier Operation Pass. Progress through the pass with Match XP and you will unlock the Operator armor originally introduced in Halo: Reach!
Upgrade to the Premium Pass to obtain the CMA VK78 weapon model and Crimson Snowfall weapon coating.
SANDBOX UPDATES
The Disruptor’s damage-over-time feature returns, the Ravager has gotten a buff, the Ravager Rebound operates like an altogether new weapon (inspired by the Brute Shot!), grenade jumping is back, adjustments have been made to the Ghost and Banshee—and that’s just the tip of the iceberg for this update’s sandbox updates.
Get the full debrief in our Sandbox Update blog.
FORGE UPDATES
Operation: Fleetcom brings a treat for Forgers who are looking to enhance their creations with additional authentic details—from adding the unforgettable voice of Jeff Steitzer and Halo music to your modes to additional nodes for scripting, and more!
Discover all the new additions and enhancements in our Forge Update blog.
ADDITIONAL COATINGS
While we’re on the subject of customization, several coatings released prior to this update can now be used on any armor, weapon, or vehicle in the customization menu. This includes:
- 68 Armor Coatings
- 17 Weapon Coatings
- 9 Vehicle Coatings
For the full list, head over to Halo Support and check out the patch notes!
THE EXCHANGE
The Exchange has received another refresh with various items—both old and new—available for you to acquire with Spartan Points.
Speaking of Spartan Points, we’ve been tracking feedback that has expressed a desire for players to have more opportunities to earn these—especially as certain items in The Exchange require more points. Players will now earn Spartan Points for every match they complete!
- Match 1 = 250 Spartan Points
- Match 2 = 500 XP
- Match 3 onwards = 100 Spartan Points
As you’ve no doubt discovered, the Haunted helmet—the ultimate icon of status in Halo: Reach—has arrived in Halo Infinite and can be acquired from The Exchange.
For the full list of items added to The Exchange, head over to our Operation launch blog.

Last time you asked me, if it were my choice, would I purchase a buildable 343 Guilty Spark replica? Having had considerable time to ponder your query, my answer has not changed.

THE ARTIST’S CORNER
This month’s art piece was illustrated by the one and only Isaac Hannaford and comes from Halo Mythos.
Here we see the UNSC Infinity joined by an Autumn-class heavy cruiser, a Vindication-class light battleship, and two Marathon-class heavy cruisers while a Pelican flies towards them and a lone human in a spacesuit conducts some extra-vehicular activity.
With this Operation in Halo Infinite being themed around Fleetcom, this naturally seemed like a great art piece to feature. We’ll be covering more of the lore behind UNSC Fleet Command in this month’s issue of Canon Fodder!
That’s all for now! Jump into Halo Infinite and check out all the awesome new additions in Operation: Fleetcom, get ready for an epic bout of HCS action, and you just know that your Halo collection is very much in need of that 343 Guilty Spark set...
